Please hubbers help me improve my hub about visiting Newcastle. Thank you.
You need to include a link, here it is: https://hubpages.com/travel/Visit-to-Newcastle
Okay, well, I'm in the UK but I've never visited Newcastle.
First of all, use its full name, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, at least in the introduction. There are loads of 'Newcastle's in the UK and elsewhere. Tell your reader what and where it is, rather than launch into its attractions. Keep those till later in the article.
Replace that first dreary church photo with something a little more spectacular. The church photo would put me off completely
You are very much focussed on 'I'. It's good to mention you have been there but the article should be about the place, not you. And I'm not being horrible, but think of it as a travel article first and foremost.
Move the Angel of the North further down the page and explain why you have included it.
How about a little history?
Break your text into smaller paragraphs. One paragraph = one idea. So for example, where you mention shopping, that would be one paragraph. The Angel of the North would be in a new paragraph because it is a different thing.
Watch out for repeated 'if you'. Try to think of another way to write it.
Delete the last sentence about drinking in pubs at 10am. That is not an attractive thought
Check your grammar in the free checker, Grammarly. And then in the style checker, Hemingway. You can easily find them with a Google search. Bookmark them and use them. They will help you improve your writing.
Good luck and happy tripping around the UK. Been to Wales yet?
Thank you raggededge for taking the time in helping me with my hub. I do appreciate this very much. I will rewrite my hub according to your great advice. Thank you so much for your help.
Linda
Hi! raggededge,
Forgot to answer your last question about Wales. Yes, we have visited Wales in the south but it has been ages since we visited. I love the green scenery travelling to Wales. I just love the country side and the valleys of Wales. Hard to understand the language though. I would like to visit the North of Wales one day. It is such a beautiful country.

Last night I went in an edited a capsule so that it would be full width, which is what HP wants everyone to do. The article I edited has been published and featured since 2012. When I went in and edited, however, the editor that read it decided that it was no longer going to be featured. I was told...
