I just noticed today that traffic on my most popular hub started to plummet. Like 200 views in 3 hours and still dropping. So I decided to check to see if it had been scraped. I found this site:
arttek.spb. ru
That looks all most identical to HP's We Have Kids pages.
Just wanted to let everyone know in case anyone else has a similar traffic issue, this might be why.
This is what the site looks like, just FYI.

Ugh! Just looked at it, formatted exactly like the niche site. It even has the HubPages copyright at the bottom. This should probably be posted under Technical so staff can address it ASAP. I wouldn't click on any articles so as to not give these thieves any views.
Is it showing Adsense? If so, report to Google.
I went to have a look... and it's displaying an old version of one of my articles. With right-aligned capsules.
It's got all the HubPages copyright info at the bottom. I can see all the hubbers, their names, links, hubs, everything. I don't see ads, but I have adblocker and not comfortable about turning it off. It seems like it's displaying a unrelated list down the right side of the page.
This is the whois stuff: https://www.whois.com/whois/spb.ru I can't work out who the webhost is.
I think this is the host:
registrar: RU-CENTER-RU
Not that this is helpful information. Most of these sites can do no harm to your rankings. And this is probably one of those. It is more important to take down your content when the website is mostly good with original stuff but has copied your article. In that case, the website can do well on Google and it risks competing with you. Stuff like this there is not much you can do, especially if you can't contact the host.
Nah... I tried and it kept redirecting me in circles. I also copied some of my text into Google and only the original hub turned up. Waste of time.
I doubt that site had to do with your drop in views. What happens to me a lot is when my article is on the top of the SERPs some reader comes along, checks what I have written, and then writes an article that covers those points and some others. Google ends up putting that article above mine eventually. I lose some views, have to go back to find what is better than mine in the SERPS, add a few things...
What was that about passive income?
Passive income? Some things may be truly impossible:)
Yeah, I remember the days I believed that well founded lie on the internet going something like, "Write some great articles, put them on the web, then do nothing more but sit back and let the money start rolling in." I figured out about five minutes later that wasn't going to happen. Updating I will go, updating I will go, high ho the merryo updating I will go . . . ( :
Also there was a Google search algorithm update on the 17th/18th. I noticed a 10% drop across the board on most of my articles.
Same here, significant drop across most of my articles though April-May are typically my lowest trafficked months.
A link to this update being discussed somewhere? I did drop a few rankings on owlcation, don't want to jump to conclusions.
I don't know how reliable this source is:

Thanks, just checked SEMRush now and yes the past three days have been volatile: https://www.semrush.com/sensor/
It's sad to come back from my 3 year hiatus from Hubpages to see Content Scrapers are still a thing. Though I know it's no fault of anyone at HP! Hope it gets sorted out.
Oh my goodness yes this is a complete scrape of the site - hope Hubpages can shut it down.

My top traffic article which used to get 2000 views per day for years has now dropped further down the rankings from its featured spot on Google and traffic is now around 60 views per day. If I turn off ads so people can actually read it and get past the "content continues below" barrier...

One of my articles had a blip in traffic after seeing months of zero. I was curious as to what was going on and according to the referrer stats, all traffic is from chatgpt.I have never used it before, does chatgpt now provide source links or perhaps someone asked for references/sources and whether...

I'm posting this with the hope that we can document Discover moves and semi-accurately understand how the changes are impacting traffic. If you have seen a notable improvement to your traffic since your article moved from a niche site to Discover, please mention it here. For the purposes of this...

It continues to baffle me how the Hubs I've written with the least amount of effort and attention to detail end up being the highest scoring Hubs out of all my content. Every time I write a Hub my score upon featured status is immediately around 65 and my scores never dip below that, rarely do they...

Something strange is going on. I have a hub that's been doing really well for years. It was hub-pro edited a couple of months ago and traffic increased by a couple hundred a day. Over the last week or so it's hovered around 750 per day. Overall it has almost half a million views.Today, views are...
