Hi everyone! Thanks so much for your feedback on the design updates we've made to the forums. I know it's been quite a while since we announced that the site redesign would slowly be implemented across all of HubPages, and we really appreciate your patience. We wanted to go slowly in order to minimize any bugs caused by the switch.

Here are some of the improvements you may have noticed today:
-The forums are now fully responsive (work better with phones, tablets, and desktop)
-Forums now match the current design on rest of the site. A consistent design is easier for the engineers to maintain and will ultimately save them more time down the road.
-Lots of old lingering bugs were fixed and some outdated messaging was updated.

We're working on the issues you've all noticed so far. If you see any more bugs, please start a new thread to report them.

You are right! And this color scheme is murder on the eyes!

And I noticed I lost the chronological setting, but simply re-clicking it brought it back.

They fixed the formatting for forums on mobile but that's an awful color scheme.

I thought it was me getting old. My eyes, my eyes! The larger avatars are cool, though.

I really don't like the forum design. The color change on posts you had read was so easy. I find it very confusing that the titles of the posts are exactly the same size and color as the name of the categories. Very tiresome to my eyes. And there are still 'related' discussions that go back as far as 6 years. They should be put in an archive.  It has not become a place I enjoy visiting anymore. I get a headache just looking at it. Sorry but that's the way I feel about the new lay-out.

What the...? The forums look terrible. What were they thinking?

I think some of it looks better but there are a few things I'm not keen on - you can no longer see a difference in the font of forum posts that you have visited and ones you haven't and the block on the left that lists the categories is in a very small typeface compared to the list on the right.

I'm not bothered by the colours or format, but there are a couple of little niggles. Can't import and edit the message you're replying to and can't edit own posts.

Oh, and when you reply to someone, the format switches into threaded instead of chronological.
