Otherwise this would not have happened: https://maven.io/the-maven/press/a-e-s- … L2d1bjhig/

I sure wish I had a niche site that could join this party. smile

That's big news. You're right, it adds a lot of credibility to Maven.

Hmm. I am based in Germany, so this is taking me to history.de and not on some themaven.net/history.com domain.

Just used redirect detective: http://redirectdetective.com/ and history.com does not redirect anywhere. I guess we need to wait.

This link does not work for me in Brazil either. Can you sum it up?

The link works for me, it's just that history.com which I would expect to be on the Maven network (maven.net/something) takes me to history.de instead.

But if you couldn't read the post, here it is:

History.com brings 18 million viewers to the coalition

Maven launched A+E Networks’ flagship property, History.com, adding an additional 18 million monthly viewers to Maven’s rapidly growing coalition of independent digital media partners. The terms of the agreement also include a three-year extension for Biography.com which is A+E’s’ second-largest site, reaching on average over 11 million unique users per month.

Maven has been posting steady growth since its launch in 2016 and currently features more than 300 live channels across dozens of verticals, with multiple additions each week.

The recent mergers and launch of History.com will position Maven to reach over 100 million users each month.

Visit History.com to see the live site, and maven.io for more information about recent launches and company growth.

The "market capitalization" of Maven is only $14 million, so it's actually pretty small.

The deal was really about three small companies with different abilities merging together.

Maven is a company that has been merging and/or buying up publishing venues to create one conglomerate.  Mavens are people who have their own sites with enough views to be invited to write for Maven.  HP sits under the Maven umbrella but so far has remained an independent writing site of sorts with the big shots from our team now employed by Maven.  However, Maven pays differently.  Go to their website and check them out and also look at the HP blogs to get more info.

You just pointed out that HP is under the Maven umbrella. I kind of forgot that we still retain our own domain names. Maybe the same with history.com they keep their domain and do not move to themave.net/history.com or something.

History channel is strong since 1995. Though, I don't care for all of A & E programming.
