You need to switch the titles from "Switch to Topical Forums" to "The Dark Forums". This idea was stolen from another Hubber.
Let us help to lighten them!
(You have a lightning bolt.)
You do understand that we will be dead in 10 years, as in cease to exist.
I understand the reality of physical death. The animal part of us dies. The soul doesn't die, we are all immortal.
But even if you don't accept that, write.
Writers continue to communicate. We have all been influenced by "dead" writers.
Write, write, write.
"I understand the reality of physical death. The animal part of us dies. The soul doesn't die, we are all immortal."
I so want to agree with that.
If it's what you want, don't fight it. Relax, what's to lose?
Yes. Everything physical, material and irrelevant. Do you think there anything else?
I turn into a pumpkin at this hour. I'll look for you tomorrow.
Agreed on the writing. Some of my scraps will exist a 100 years from now; if nothing else; archival.
When I said "everything", I meant everything. Gone. Lab rats. All of it.
I will not be here tomorrow. Do you not love HP with this nonsense?
You will be.
Do you believe that thoughts exist? Do ideas, creativity, gravity, magnitism, centirifical force , atomic fusion, and other unseen and intangible things like love, hate, honor , wisdom and truth exist? Are they real ? Do they exist only in your mind, or do they continue to exist even if a person dies?
Yes, you can point out physical manifestations of thoughts , ideas, creativity, gravity, magnitism, love, hate, honor and truth etc. but the thing ITSELF, the animating spirit or soul of thoughts, ideas, creativity, gravity, magnitism, love, hate, you cannot hold in your physical hand.
I think these things exist and they create the material stuff. So I’m thinking the soul is also real and immortal.
And now I am floating way out of my my usual conscious mind. If you want to know how my brain really works you will read my hub on letterpile—/Silly-Ways-to-Save-on-Gasoline
"So I’m thinking the soul is also real and immortal."
I hope you are right. We will find out soon enough.
Too deep for this section. This needs to move to the dark side.

How do you interpret the second death in the book of Revelations? It is found 4 times in Revelations and as I understand it, it is symbolic for the second desruction of the temple and the Jewish religion a second time at the hands of Rome. The first time was by babylon. It is the spiritual death of...

Why are there spirits roaming the earth? Does this means that there is no heaven or hell?

Is God a nothing?Couldn't it be said that God is "no thing" -- not a physical construct or created object? If one posits a source of the universe (and logically existence of anything seems to demand a source) then this "nothing" could be the source of every "thing." In...

Let's start with something we can all agree on, we're alive, we have a mind but we are also physical beings and one day the physical being will cease to exist. Now class, this is not a philosophical question it's a personal question. The question is what do you think will happen to you after you're...

Do you hope for new life beyond physical death? All differences in theism or a-theism aside, would you want to be resurrected? Would it hurt to consider the possibility of an afterlife, how might this hurt us, when we say we have an open mind, do we feel pressured to say yes or no?Another thought,...
