The highest I've ever seen. Waiting for Google to announce miscalculation!

CPMs tend to rise when page views fall.

This is it. Same ad budgets chasing fewer page views. I can't imagine advertisers are very happy about it, which is not good in the longer term.

Is there a relationship between those nasty "recommended hubs" and our higher CPM? Mine has been great lately, but when I posted a new article today guess what popped up in the corner?

Pretty high yes, almost as high as the summer. The peak of summer the niche sites were all doing great and I had amazing CPMs and a few others that I communicate with too.

Not sure if the lower overall traffic is the reason for the higher CPMs. If it's a small limited network this could be it, but I think HP falls back to Google Ads or some other ad network when the high bidders are out of budget (all a part of the HP Ad network). Also, advertisers would be paying a fixed CPM and not a monthly fee, right? So we should not see an uptick in CPM just because of lower traffic.

My CPMs on niche sites have gone up about 30% which is a big help.  They're about the same on my second site, but for some reason its views have remained relatively stable.  Most are on a variety of niche sites, though, so that may be affecting their stability levels.  They were never doing great!

I wonder would sponsorship of articles return more revenue than dynamic ads?

It is the season for higher advertising revenues. That's my assumption.
