      Hi Prudence. You have the right idea. There are a few grammar problems that you can probably catch by proofreading, or by asking someone you know to do it for you. The topic is really worn out, but you will likely get some traffic. If I were you I would add photos between the text elements (you can find good ones to use for free on pixabay.com).
      The main reason this article won't get featured is the Amazon links. If I were you I would take them out, get featured, and then add one to see if it stays featured. HP has become super strict about Amazon links, which is a pain, but it keeps the site in Google's good graces, which is more important than pretty much anything.

    Prudence, there are several grammar errors in your article.

    Other than that, you should know that HubPages is not a blogging platform. It seeks magazine type, unique articles on interesting topics. Your profile is thus inappropriate. Frankly, your topic is also rather stale and already endlessly written about.

    I suggest you give the learning center a read through. Take a look at published articles here too.
