This morning I had several dozen Hubs with broken link warnings on one of my other accounts. They were all for YouTube videos. When I checked a few they appeared fine. Within minutes all of the warnings had vanished.
Just noting it here so HP is aware of it, or in case other writers see the same thing. It appears to be a bug.
I'm seeing the same thing on quite a few hubs. One hub has one of my personal videos which I checked several times to see if it's working. It is. I even replaced the link with a new one to the same video. Still, I'm seeing a broken link warning.
About half an hour ago I had 130 broken video links. I've lost track of the number now. The videos that I've checked do work, even though the system is telling me that they don't.
I've just now witnessed that exact same thing. Every page I looked at, the video was fine.
We are looking into this issue. If you would like the broken link warning removed now, click the "ignore" or "retest" button.
Seeing the same issue again this morning, this time on 2 accounts.
One account had 46 "broken links" that weren't really broken. The warnings went away after rechecking them.
There was a pretty severe YouTube outrage yesterday. Could that be the cause?
Seems logical, but I first noticed the issue two days ago. Maybe YouTube was having issues then too.
In any event there seems to be nothing wrong, just some false positives from the broken link checker.
This has happened to me too several times over the last 48 hours. The one thing all these "broken links" had in common was they were to videos that had no advertising. (I deliberately choose videos with as few ads as possible.) I wonder if Google is targeting links that bring in little or no revenue? Just a thought.
YT must have had a hiccup. It's happened in the past, too. Mine is working.
I see it again today too.
This forum was once the place to report things like this. Hopefully that is still the case and HP is aware of the problem. Perhaps someone in a position of authority will let us know what's up soon.
Same here. Just seeing this post after the fact. I went in to discover the links were not broken and videos working fine. I clicked "ignore" for each one on the broken links page and the icons on stats page disappeared. All appears to be well now. Thanks for the heads up about the YT issues.
Just for the record, I'm experiencing the same issue. Dozens of videos marked as broken links, but all working fine.
I've sent an email to team@hubpages and linked to this thread.
Just checked and I got a few too. All the videos are still up though.

Two of my articles on PetHelpful are showing as having broken links. In the first instance, when I look at the article, the link is a picture. This link http://www.sxc.hu/photo/679862 is showing as broken but is in fact clearly showing as a black cat drinking so I think this may be a 'glitch'? In...

This is a great feature HP has...flagging Hubs where links within those Hubs are broken. However, just in the last 20 minutes, four of my Hubs showed on My Account page as having broken links. Only one did. (As in, there was no yellow text when looking at those Hubs in edit mode, for three of...

It's not professional, and readers are getting a false impression. Has anyone heard why false YT broken links report this keep happening?

Have you had this happen to you? I searched for the highlighted broken link but I could not find one. So how do you clear the notice?

Do I need to do something to fix a broken link?
