I have only written a few articles on HP; and just never really had the time to continue writing (busy career and reading as opposed to writing). However, even with just a few articles, I was contacted through a HP email that an Executive Producer had read one of my Hubs and wanted to talk to me about a show opportunity.
I initially thought it was Spam/Scam and left it aside and forgot about it until I was tracked down through other sources and emailed again a month later. I researched the producer; and he was actually legit, so I contacted him back.
Long-story-short, I ended up interviewed as part of a casting reel for a television show on a major/popular cable network. This may or may not amount to anything, but it does not matter. It is more of the writer's ego boost or validation of ability to have a Hub recognized by a Hollywood Executive Producer.
Keep writing folks, as you never know whom is reading your Hubs!
It is surely an ego boost. I have over 200 in just two years for that reason alone. You never know who is reading. You also never know who reading your work you will help. Nice, keep up the great work.
Wow, that's huge! Congratulations and thanks for sharing it, I bet you motivated some of us as well
Congrats @theyankeecajun! Follow up with us about the interview (here or via the team inbox). We love to share author success with the community.
Fantastic! I bet that's a real boost to your motivation to write more.
That is a success story! I am so glad to hear it. Wonderful! I hope it leads to bigger and better opportunities. Please keep us posted on how it goes. Good luck!
That is very exciting and encouraging. Congratulations and thanks for sharing!
Congratulations! I've had some very good opportunities come out of my online writing and websites. It's definitely a place worth writing!

Just wanted to share something. I know it's been mentioned before here, but you never know who reads your hubs. I have quite a few product-related hubs and one in particular that I was highly complimentary about involves a product manufactured by a large corporation. Their corporate...

I posted this hub about MOPS a few days ago: http://thatmommyblogger.hubpages.com/hu … S-Meeting. It took me hours to write, and I wrote it about a very personal topic. There is no chance that I plagiarized it, and I did not post it on any other site.I'm getting a duplicate...

In the past few days, I got my 100th follower and finally attained 1 million views! It's been hectic writing while also working part-time and being a full-time student, but it's crazy to think so many people have read my silly articles. Here's to many more years.
