I want to thank the HP team and all of my fellow writers for helping me to reach this amazing goal. Some of you already know that I have been ill for quite some time. I had a benign tumor removed from my pituitary gland in June, and just as I was starting to recover, I had a cardiac arrest that would have killed me but for the quick thinking of my husband and a friend who happened to be present at the time it happened. I was so sick following that event that I couldn't even walk at first, let alone write any articles. I recently started writing again, and it feels wonderful to be able to do so. For those who fear HP won't "pay off", let me share that all during these past months, the checks kept coming in...and I was writing nothing, not even editing anything because I did not have the strength to do so. Those checks are helping to pay for medications as well as medical care and are helping to keep my husband and myself financially secure. I've been at HP for 8 years. The first few were lean, but I used them to learn my craft, and I stuck with it. My message here is that if you want to succeed, do not give up. Keep learning. Don't try to cut corners. Let the team and your colleagues help you. HP is a wonderful opportunity, and you should take full advantage of it. I never dreamed that one day 5 million people would have read my words, but now they have...and I have all of you to thank. I hope none of you ever get as sick as I have been, but I want you to know if something bad does happen, and if you've persevered, HP will help you to get through it. Thanks to all of you for being so supportive, and if I can ever do anything to help YOU, just let me know. God Bless all of you.
Congratulations TIMERRAVELLER2, for your extraordinary success at HubPages. You are an inspiration indeed.
I hope you are feeling better now. Wish you good health and many more years of success, as a writer.
God Bless and keep up your excellent work. Thank You.
You are a true inspiration...with the 5 million readers but also in so many other ways!
Congratulations on achieving the 5 million milestone. It's wonderful that you are feeling better and can enjoy your achievement.
WOW! That is truly amazing. You've doubled my views with half as many articles, with two years less to boot. Congratulations.
On the other hand, I am sad to read of your severe health problems. I am glad you are making a comeback. I will pray for your health.

I am really sorry that you got sick. I am happy that you are okay.
This is a very inspiring story. I had almost given up on HP, but I am glad that you have rekindled my hope. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
What a fantastic post, Sondra. Congratulations on making a cool 5 million, and also for your most wonderful recovery.
Thank you for such heartfelt words, and congratulations for hitting such a milestone - 5 million words, wow! I am delighted to hear you are writing again.
Just the other day, I was chatting with a woman who had an old Dodge truck with a camper shell and though of you. She was telling me how she manages living essentials while vacationing with her truck and camper shell. She says she gets her ideas from articles like yours.
So glad to know you are doing better after going through so much. What a great post you've written here. It should win some sort of award. Thanks for sharing your experience. Congrats on hitting 5 million readers!
Very inspiring, motivating and encouraging. We must continue our creative writing.
God bless YOU, Sondra! Congrats on the whopping 5 million views. Continue to take it easy; you've already put in the work and now are entitled to reap your rewards. Enjoy writing just because. Glad to know you'll be okay. Hugs to you.
TIMETRAVELER2, words fail me (an obviously true rarity). I wish you the best. RTalloni's reply reflected my thoughts exactly.
Very inspiring, motivating and encouraging. We must continue our creative writing. All the best.
What an inspiring and kind post! Congratulations on your milestone, Sondra. Best wishes for the future.
Congrats TT, I'm about to cross the 5M threshold myself.
Congratulations TimeTraveler2. That's a big achievement. I am pleased to hear that you are on the road to recovery after what sounds like a terrible time. Thank you for the encouragement that you give to me and all the other writers on HubPages who are just making our way. You are an inspiration.

I want to thank Hubpages for allowing me to publish here. You were my first love for publishing online. I still haven't found another lover like you and can't seem to let you go. With all the arguments and disagreements I am still here. Hopefully, I'll fall in love with you like before.I have been...

Hit 1 million views today. These niche sites have been truly rewarding. Thanks to all the help and support from HP and you hubbers over the years!

Over the weekend I reached 2.5 million views, which is 1/4 of the way to the next accolade. It took 3 years to get to the 1 million accolade, and one year, thanks to the niche sites, to add another 1.5 million. I think 5 million views should be the next accolade. Any chances of giving us a closer...

In the past few days, I got my 100th follower and finally attained 1 million views! It's been hectic writing while also working part-time and being a full-time student, but it's crazy to think so many people have read my silly articles. Here's to many more years.
