Wouldn't it be cool if we could have a weekend convention for HP writers? Have a chance to meet and have a drink and laugh and commiserate? I'm thinking Vegas.

They've done it before. I see no reason why they can't do it again. big_smile

Cool idea, but I'd be afraid to attend, out of fear that all of the Indian spammers I've been making fun of lately would band together and show up to kick my a**. big_smile

Good idea, but I'm a writer and so don't have the wherewithal to travel more than couple of hundred kms from my home. If I could afford to travel, I think Las Vegas would be the last place I'd want to visit. I went into a casino once and was amazed to see a place of entertainment filled with grim-faced people not having fun.

That's true -- maybe we should all meet next year at Burning Man...

I find the opposite. Being a writer has given me more opportunity to travel  than I had with other jobs.

Good morning green mind. How many hubs are require to attend the conference.  It is a great idea. Some companies give youa big travel discount if you travel as a writer.

Alas, last time they restricted it to writers only in the US. I believe it also had mostly to do with facebookzoo; might be worth reading the reviews on that.

That's a shame. Sounds like geographical discrimination.

I think those of us with accents are not to be included.

Everyone who went to that conference in the Canadian wilderness came back much changed, lol. I suspect pods were involved.

A young Paul Edmondson is pictured below.

        Paul is in the pod.

And I believe this was when Paul was single, which would make that a bachelor's pod.

Lol. It represents spacious accommodation in San Francisco, if my sources are to be believed.

I went to one in Houston, once.

    I didn't really learn much.

I asked about the religious posts because they were very, very unpleasant and horrible. I was told that 'people seemed to like it.'
