Hi guys: Just a quick update. One more week or so and I'll be finished with my radiation treatments. Other than being really tired, it's gone pretty well. I did take a bad fall in my garage last week ... didn't break or fracture anything but cause inflammation in my lower back which is affecting my right leg to the point that i can neither stand nor walk on it Doc says it will heal but will take at least 2 months...not writing much as still am weak. These things are not easy and I am now praying that the treatments work. Doc seems optimistic, so that gives me hope. Hell to get old, but it is what it is.
That is good news, thanks for the update. One day at a time. Take it easy, especially during this difficult time.
Glad to hear from you, Sondra. Keep going. xx
That is good news that the treatments are going well. Real shame about the tumble though. Take it easy and look after yourself.
Wow, did not know about any of this! I’m pushing 50 and having many health issues , aging is a rough road; and I took care of my Mom for years and saw her go through a lot. Hope you heal quickly and get better!
My health issues started when I was 52. I was on an RV trip. Went to bed fine. Woke up and couldn't walk. It's been up and down ever since. Best thing to do? Do your due diligence and take advantage of the "ups". It can work, but there will still be rough times. Good luck.
You are in my prayers. I am sorry about your fall. Arnica is a natural homeopathic tablet that relieves bruising, muscle strain, and joint pain if you are interested in a natural approach.
I'm glad the treatments are going well, Sondra. I hope your back heals as quickly as possible. Best wishes.
Thanks for the update. I was wondering how you were getting on. Hope the rest of the treatment goes okay and that you get some encouraging results after it has finished. I also hope that your back injury quickly improves.
That's good news, hope you recover from that fall soon. Also, have a pleasant Easter.
Nice to hear about your progress. You are brave enough to endure the pain and coping positively. Wish you a speedy recovery. All the best.
Hey there Sondra. Glad to get this update. Continue to heal well and stay hopeful. We are praying for you. Be safe, stay healthy.
Glad to hear your treatments are going well. Sorry about the fall, but hope you heal quickly! Take care, and keep us posted!
Best wishes to you TT2! There's never a good time to get ill, but now is especially bad!
Aw, sounds like you're on the right track. My mother underwent radiation last year and I recall that after a few weeks it definitely started to catch up to her and wear her out. I hope you're finding rest and relaxation this week.
Congrats on the ending of treatment! Take care; I can't say how many f-ups I have had that in time healed. Most recently a fractured tibial plateau; I hope you have no lasting troubles from your fall. Mine sucked - but time healed it - not fully.but enough. I hope you have an excellent result with all of your treatments. Best wishes and hopes for a lasting cure and a long, healthy long life.

I just want to tell everyone that we were affected by the heavy rains and flooding here in the Philippines last weekend. We are much luckier than some of our countrymen. Floodwater only reached knee-high inside our house.Power was restored late last night so I have to beg your indulgence if I have...

Johnny has early ileum. Apparently, because of his bronchitis and COPD, his intestines did not get enough oxygen and they partially shut down. The bronchitis also triggered the atrial flutter. He's doing better and is now on a liquid diet, so at least he won't starve. He's not in as much pain,...

Thank goodness! The surgeon took two plugs from my left hip, with the use of a hammer, and did an aspiration, also. He told hubby I had really hard bones, so at least I don't have to worry about osteoporosis. I was very sore yesterday - felt like someone had beaten me with a hammer. The incision...
