Hi guys:  Just a quick update.  One more week or so and I'll be finished with my radiation treatments.  Other than being really tired, it's gone pretty well.  I did take a bad fall in my garage last week ... didn't break or fracture anything but cause inflammation in my lower back which is affecting my right leg to the point that i can neither stand  nor walk on it  Doc says it will heal but will take at least 2 months...not writing much as still am weak.  These things are not easy and I am now praying that the treatments work.  Doc seems optimistic, so that gives me hope.  Hell to get old, but it is what it is.

That is good news, thanks for the update.  One day at a time.  Take it easy, especially during this difficult time.

Glad to hear your radiation treatments are almost done.
You have been in my thoughts.  I pray these treatments work.
I hate to hear about your fall but you can't keep a good person down for long.
        Take care.

That is good news that the treatments are going well. Real shame about the tumble though. Take it easy and look after yourself.

Wow, did not know about any of this! I’m pushing 50 and having many health issues , aging is a rough road; and I took care of my Mom for years and saw her go through a lot. Hope you heal quickly and get better!

My health issues started when I was 52.  I was on an RV trip.  Went to bed fine. Woke up and couldn't walk.  It's been up and down ever since.  Best thing to do?  Do your due diligence and take advantage of the "ups".  It can work, but there will still be rough times.  Good luck.

Unfortunately I think your experience is fairly common.  There's a ton of research that shows aging isn't a straight line.

Most people remain fairly healthy until their 50's or 60's, but then health takes a steep decline.

Aw, sounds like you're on the right track. My mother underwent radiation last year and I recall that after a few weeks it definitely started to catch up to her and wear her out. I hope you're finding rest and relaxation this week.

Congrats on the ending of treatment! Take care; I can't say how many f-ups I have had that in time healed.  Most recently a fractured tibial plateau; I hope you have no lasting troubles from your fall. Mine sucked - but time healed it - not fully.but enough. I hope you have an excellent result with all of your treatments.  Best wishes  and hopes for a lasting cure and a long, healthy long life.
