First hubpages payout for African writers

   My question goes out to hubbers from Africa. If you've already received a payout from hubpages, how long did it take you to reach the first payment threshold?

      PayPal users in most African countries can send money but not receive money and so I'm pretty sure only a few would be here on Hubpages especially with Hubpages discarding Adsense earnings recently.
      
      Hope Hubpages would introduce an alternate form of payment in the future cus there are some pretty good writers from Africa. For now, I don't think it's a priority.

         Hey Charlesnuamah, it is possible for people in Africa to receive money via PayPal, especially here in Kenya.

      Back in the day, it took me about 8 months to reach my 1st payout threshold from Hubpages. That was about 10 years ago.
      The rest is history.

      (Just here to answer my own post as an African writer)
      
      I joined hubpages on 15 January 2020, and I finally received my first payout on 28 September 2021.
      
      So, it took me around 1 year, 8 months, 13 days to receive my first hubpages payout. Haha! That was a long time, but it was worth the wait.
      
      (All my earnings were purely from the hubpages ad program)

   Still working, but I am yet to, although, this may partly be my fault because I failed to connect my ATM with the PayPal, but now, having connect it, I am looking forward to crossing the barrier soon, when that happens, you will know...And who knows you may be the first to cross the barrier before me.

   I want to chime in on this, but I am Brazilian, not from the African continent. I just want to reassure you all that the payments have nothing to do with your country of origin. As long as the article answers what readers are searching for, and are written in decent English that does not cause the reader to bounce off before the ads are loaded, Hubpages will pay you well.
   Congrats on your payment. They will come a lot faster after that first.
