Time to boast xD. I'm just a hobby gardener without a garden right now so this was some really nice feedback to receive. I was already motivated to write more on plants, garlic and spider plants are going to be my next venture as I've got these growing really well in a pot.
They aren't going to be as interesting as pawpaws that taste like Papayas (paw paw yas) though, so they're going to mainly be for a search engine audience. This is with reference to one of Carens articles that I read the other day xD.
Congrats on your achievement, and thanks for sharing the good news.
Congratulations..
It is really sad that most readers usually thank google for the helpful articles they read.
This, however, is really comforting....
Nice one Brandon, I know it sounds cheesy but you sure know your onions when it comes to tomatoes.
Not at all. But onions, tomatoes and cheese, I can think of quite a few things where they'd go well together
Better than the RHS? Fantastic! Congratulations on your awesome achievement.
PS Glad you enjoyed the pawpaws article! I still can't believe that they are real.
I did. I was on Dengarden the other day looking through and noticed something that I hadn't seen before.
Congratulations! It gives a great sense of satisfaction when you get praise from a reader and you feel you must be doing something right. My favourite comment was from a reader on my trimmer troubleshooting guide who said that it was like a Haynes manual, so that got me dreaming about writing a Haynes guide some time in the future!
That's cool, it seems like the Haynes guides are really good. If you really want to, you should shoot them an email showing them a sample you've written, there's always the chance that they'd send you a positive reply.
Congratulations! Well deserved.
One thing I have learned from you over the years is the value of strategically updating and improving a smaller number of articles until they are the best on the web (or as close as possible) vs. the old scattershot approach of writing tons of articles. You hard work has obviously paid off.
Definitely this. I don't write another unless I know that the ones I have are the best out there (at least the best among the ones ranking on Google). I do, however, have a few that I do not update, but these are the ones that see no Google love at all.
I may have got this idea from Relache? I'm not sure, but when I read your comment she first came to mind. She always had 200 hubs and used to delete or unpublished one if she published a new hub.
Congratulations. I have been an admirer of your articles since my early days on Hub Pages. Pleased to see you are being recognised for all your hard work.
Thanks, everyone, I'm glad I posted this. It's nice to see that so many familiar faces still hang around the forums
Cool beans, Brando! I've had a few similar contacts from some of my hubs. One was on an article using a lidar image of Georgia's mysterious Carolina Bays. The person who made the image contacted me and congratulated me for the info contained in my article.
It's cool to be appreciated!
That's cool The person probably shared it around too.
Congratulations! That is excellent feedback to receive, so thoughtful of them to take the time to send it too.
Very true, I thanked him for taking the time to send it.

Hi everyone!I'd like to receive some of your thoughts and opinions on an article that I just recently published. It's been receiving quite a high amount of traffic since the first day I published it (unlike many of my other articles), so I'd like to know what it was that I did right with this...

Hi Hubbers,This is the 3rd time I have adjusted, rewritten, deleted etc words, phrases, names from this story and the 3rd time I have received an email saying that its too spammy..whatever that means. Your description of spammy is very vague. So perhaps someone, here, could use exact examples of...

I received the above feedback on one of my articles from an editor today. And I must say, this made my day. I believe nothing can make any writer happier than getting personalized feedback on their writing. Thanks, LD.

A few weeks ago, I was interviewed by the senior editor of Kiplinger's about my experiences on Hubpages. I just got an email from the editor, who confirmed that the story will be in the March 2012 edition of Kiplinger's. I'm psyched!
