I have shipped items showing each day and a value of sales but no earnings showing? Is this only me or is this a known glitch that HP are working to sort out?

Yes HP are working on it. Here's the thread.

I hope they address this soon. Most likely a dispute over payout percentage since Amazon recently screwed over a huge population of affiliate marketers by dropping from, in many cases, 8 to 10% to 1 to 3%. Amazon is basically saying "we no longer need to pay for advertising.. We're known worldwide and will adapt easily to world changes until the end of time" lol.

Following on from the Amazon earnings problem, I have now noticed that my HubPages Ad program is currently showing “earnings for last 7 days” but the total showing is the total for the last 5 days - has anyone else noticed this? Can the HubPages team respond please?

I hope that they can sort it out soon. I check my stats regularly and I hate seeing those zeros and negative numbers! smile

I also hope that we can keep the higher affiliate rates, given that Amazon introduced general cuts in late April.

Same boat here. I was doing very well on Amazon sales, so it's disheartening to log in and not see those earnings stacking up each day.

I’m beginning to get concerned about this now too. Half my income from my hubs is a result of Amazon sales. I was hoping this would be fixed by now, as Matt mentioned it’s being worked on with Amazon. But now it’s been a week with all zeros from Amazon.

I’ve had experiences many years ago with other affiliate companies changing their minds and cutting off the residuals after building up a huge client base. I hope this doesn’t happen with Amazon. The fact is, they don’t need us. So I’m not sure what to expect. Sorry for sharing the pessimistic thoughts.

I think it's wise to be wary of Amazon. I think the game plan for most of these big corporations is to gain a monopoly, or near monopoly, by whatever means necessary and then maximize profits. Though I think that it's more likely that they will continue to reduce the percentages rather than cutting off affiliates altogether.

It's out of our control really. But the explanation of Amazon giving HP the wrong figures could be interpreted in different ways, not just as it being a purely technical problem. It would hurt HP too if they lost a portion of their Amazon income. It's all pure speculation, of course - but based on what Amazon did at the end of April it doesn't seem unreasonable to be concerned that there might be some sort of dispute going on.

I mean, I hope it's just a technical problem and our commission percentages haven't changed...  smile

We apologize for the delay. We are currently working with Amazon to get the data issue resolved. We appreciate your patience.

So Amazon is making record earnings, and their response, during a pandemic, when many companies are struggling to survive, is to cut commissions to increase their earnings. While they continue to pay no taxes.  Can I just say that outside of the WaPo this company is a very poor citizen. 8% down to 3% is draconian.

I wish we could resurrect Ebay.

wow, I'm glad I saw your post, I did not investigate the $0s, but now I see I had several sales with a total of $180+ in four days!  Looking forward to when they fix this problem. Glad to hear they are looking into it.

There is nothing on the other thread on this topic that I was directed to https://hubpages.com/community/forum/34 … r-may-2020 - no posts there for 8 days. Nothing further from the HubPages team - it is very worrying.

Alison, That seems to be a bug, but a minor one. You can change the filter to display any number of days you want to see.
