It would seem in my brief absence that the Maven bar has become more invasive than it once was; it pops up uncontrollably and incessantly as I scroll and I can't seem to figure out a way to get rid of it.

Anyone have any ideas for how to keep it from popping up randomly, over and over?

I have experienced the same sense of invasiveness.

... an annoying and distracting, horrible idea!

Dear whoever decided to add this feature, please get rid of it.  Obviously, I have no idea how to.

Please get rid of it, HubPages.

Good lord, this thing is so annoying and disruptive of quality!  I actually considered deleting all my over 100 HubPages because of it and cancelling my account after being here for eleven years.

For the love of heavens, HubPages, get rid of it!

      Hi there,

There is a small "X" on the upper left-hand side that will close it.

Obviously, but it is invasive and irritating. Can it be moved, or made to be less invasive?

Thank you. I hadn't noticed that.

I don't have much of a problem with the Maven Bar, because it leads me to articles that I wouldn't usually search for on Google. I guess it's just a situation of "one man's meat is another man's poison".

Yeah, that annoying damn thing is back again. It went away for a while cuz everybody hated it,  but it started popping up again over the last day or so.

Funny thing is, I was actually going to click on one of the hubs in that darn bar, but just before I could get my cursor there, the bar vanished. Very annoying that it is there, very annoying that it was not there when I wanted it. Annoying all around! lol

I wish it would dissapear also.   If I share my work I have others complaining that they cannot read my poetry.
I actually copy the words and post them on top of sharing.
Of course this means that they probably do not click the link to Hubpages.

I don't see the problem here. It is showing readers more articles on the same niche site and it only appears when they scroll back. This will hopefully keep them on the site and reading more articles instead of going away. If or when it starts sending readers to other sites instead of keeping them on the same niche then I'll have a problem.

I am more concerned about the pop-up video ads.

I wish it only appeared when I scrolled back. It is occurring randomly, and frequently impairs my ability to read. They could make it less invasive as a side bar, in the margins rather than over the page, at the least.

It is a pain, and worse on HubPages articles rather than on the niche sites, because on the former the pop up articles are not even related whereas on the niche sites they are. There are a few forum threads discussing this.

I agree it is horrible if you are actually trying to read a hub.

Many do not like it. That's up to HP. Samanth, make some change? Thanks.
