    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article? What can I do to improve? Thanks!

      Hi Shannon,

      Here are my suggestions:

Remove 'The Basics' from the title. It's unnecessary.

You are talking about rental income? It would be good to make some mention of that in the opening paragraph.

The opening is a little rambling and repetitive. Can you make it 'crisper'?

Reduce the number of times you use 'passive income'. Use 'rent' and rental income' as well. Some sections are horribly keyword stuffed. SEO doesn't work like that any more.

Remove the ratings capsule. It's mainly for recipes. We don't rate articles here.

Remove the commercial link. The promotion of businesses is not permitted.

You realise you are writing in an already over-saturated topic? All this has been covered a million times already by much more authoritative sites. I've done it myself for a client's website. Think about how you could make your article different, by adding more information, sharing your own experience in this market, or taking a different angle.

The personal aspect would be useful. How much did you spend on your first property? What kind of rental was it? Did you go on to buy others? What is your passive income from property at present? What are your future plans?

      Good luck.

Thank you, your feedback has helped a lot. One more thing concerning links...I'm not sure about what kind of links to provide in my articles if any. If I do insert links in my article...would this be any quality link, that relates to the subject in my article, just as long as it isn't a business link?

No, you don't need to add any links if you are writing from your personal knowledge. If you have to rely on other sources, make sure they are as 'neutral' and as reliable as possible.

Place them at the end as one would do in an academic paper.

One more thing, include some relevant images in your hub. They make your article more appealing to the audience, helps convey your message, and also increases shareability. You can read more on image use here: https://hubpageshelp.com/content/Learni … -image-use

Hello miss. 123. I like your article. You need to add at least three pictures in your hub. You need to read hub pages learning center. Have a great night.

One image (at the beginning) in an article of this length and topic is sufficient. Only include extra images if they support the text. Don't add them otherwise.

I suggest that you delete the link at the end of the article, since it goes to a business. We aren't allowed to promote businesses on HubPages.

The first thing is the link. Do as AliciaC suggested and delete it. If you want to link to a good site with that info, fine. A business link is not acceptable.
The second issue is about you. Why should I trust this writer in a YMYL article? You are suggesting how I should handle my money, yet your bio indicates you do not have any specific knowledge in this area. (If you are not familiar with this already, read up on YMYL on Google.)
Articles that do well here tend to be subjects that the writer has experience and special knowledge about. (With personal knowledge the writer is able to add things not available elsewhere on the internet.)

I agree with Linda and remove the link. Also, you have some grammar errors, so it needs a good edit. Try using Grammarly or Hemingway App. Both have free versions.
Also, you are new to HP. You should know they have strict guidelines, and I recommend you study them. Following the instructions will ensure you get approved, featured, and onto the niche platforms. Good luck!
