    I'll start.

Did you know tooth-extraction technology has changed?

    Do you know about "doomscrolling"?

    There's something else, but I don't remember.

The same chemical in catnip that drives cats crazy, relaxes humans.

So there is a word for what I used to do every night. "Doomscrolling".

Good for you that you say "used to", I have done this during the day and night. I try not to now. I have Reddit blocked on my browser xD

I still browse somewhat often. Just not so much when I need to go to work the next day. Well I try not to anyway.

I browse some subreddits so often I run out of new content to view.

Pinterest is good for this as the pictures seem to never end.

Has any one seen or heard an elephant sneezed? You should not go to the zoo or wild for the test!

Did you know that breast implants used to be done with glass? (I bet you didn’t!)

Did you know they used real bikers (motorcycle clubs or biker gangs, whatever you want to call them) in the original Mad Max movie and they did a lot of the actual stunts?

I bought a waterfront house. During the summer months, when traffic is screaming, I can make my mortgage payments with my hp earnings (true story)

That's true, I just looked at views since 2010... 3.6 million. I think if I'd have saved every penny of earnings, I could afford a substantial down payment for sure! We like our house though

I'm sure you can buy lake side property at a deserted lake for cheap and build on it, you'd not need 3.6 mil wink

I spent the money every month when it came. I'm in a better position in life now than I was in 2010 and a few years after. I didn't actually start making much at all on HP until after 2013. Started getting better traffic, and most articles now rank 1st page Google with very vague/general keyword searches, so a lot of traffic in the summer, next to nothing November-March. It's still hard to save the money, I mostly just pay bills with it.

HP earnings pay for my internet connection every month, but that's about it. Most of my hubs that HP didn't want are going like gangbusters on my website; am hitting AdSense payout every month and the summer is still young. If it wasn't for COVID killing off the advertising budgets, I'd be researching buying my own private island by now. big_smile

Somebody on Reddit shared this with me. https://www.darkpatterns.org/

It was after reading this website I started to see how often companies try this on you. "Confirmshaming" in particular.

Update. In fact, I respected that website to the degree that I've now been posting the link elsewhere. smile

And as for dark patterns, even Best Buy pulled that stunt on me once. I'd be interested in other well-known sites that do this.

A sad day. I just exterminated one of my other accounts. My last remnant of Squidoo has officially departed to that giant electron heap in the sky. The bad news: when you close an account, you forfeit all unpaid earnings. The good news: it didn't have any. big_smile
