I'm noticing that thing happening again where I have to sign in on the niche site separately from signing into HubPages. Usually, I can just sign into HubPages and it automatically signs me into the niche sites.
Not a huge deal, but it a bit of hassle to have to sign in separately to answer every comment. (Yes, I know I can answer comments in a another area, but I prefer to go to the site and address them.)
This seems to happen from time to time. Hopefully an easy fix?
I noticed the same thing, in fact I decided not to comment on an article because I didn't want to mess with the sign in.
Thanks for reporting. We will look into this issue and see what we can do.
Chrome made some changes that affect sign in between HubPages Network sites. See article here. As Network sites are migrated, like tatring.com, sign in will be discontinued. You will only sign in and use hubpages.com to manage your articles on Network Sites. Because all Network Sites will soon be migrated, we will not be correcting the current sign in behavior caused by the Chrome changes.
Thanks for checking it out. I will adapt I suppose.
Eric, I’m curious to know what you find to be the advantage to moderate comments in each hub individually. I find it so much easier to use the “comments moderation page” where I can approve, deny, and respond to all comments without going into every hub.
I do this, but I usually open the hub in another tab in case I need to refer to it.
That's easy on a laptop. But not on a phone.
Really? Because I just hold my finger on any link and I get the option to open in a new tab.
I use Opera on phone and laptop.
Bev, my TECNO phone does not support that dual functionality. I use both Opera and Chrome on it.
I do it this way so I get the full context. I can see if I have already had a conversation with the person or if other comments are relevant to what they are asking. If I am simply approving a comment I sometimes do it your way.
That makes a lot of sense. Sometimes I lose track when someone I reply to already asked other questions that I previously replied to. Your way avoids that problem. Thanks for clarifying.
The situation is also a bit of a hassle when I want to comment on someone's article that has been moved to a network site. Signing in once isn't bad, but if I want to comment on several articles that have been moved to different network sites and I have to sign in for each one, it is a bit irritating.
I'm trying to get the hang of answering comments without having to sign into the niche site. I've been going to the article to answer comments for over eight years. I don't like change! Argh!
So, if I go to my Comments page I can moderate them. If I just want to approve or deny I can do it from there. Fine. But there seems to be no way to reply to them, and they disappear when I refresh the page.
If I want to respond to a comment I have to go back to my feed after I approve it. Is that the only way to do this?
And, I have to open the niche site page to see other comments, as Bev had mentioned doing.
grumble grumble grumble
It's strange that you can't reply to comments easily. I usually respond to the ones on my articles on the "Article Comments" page, where I can approve the comments, report them as spam, deny them, or reply to them.
I can do all of that except reply to them. I think it's strange too. I thought, in the past, I could.
I'm trying to figure out if I have a Chrome add on that's blocking something.
I turned off all my extensions and now I see the little reply button. So, either I fixed something or I somehow totally missed something before. Both are possible.
Same thing happened with me five minutes ago when I was commenting for a hub and I noticed that I am not sign in.

Wow! What do you do when someone writes a hub attacking you personally because you deleted a comment they posted to your hub?

I think most hubbers are really shy to comment on others' work. They like to read hubs (through the HubPages news~feed), but when it comes to leaving an insightful comment [which most can, if they try a bit], they are really shy.Why is this trend? What is the point of joining this website, if are...

I have an odd situation. When someone comments on one of my Hubs that's on a niche site or on discover.hubpages.com, I can't create a reply comment. It logs me out of the site, and when I try to log into the niche or discover site it sends me back to the old hubpages.com. There's some sort of bug....
