Why PayPal?

Why is PayPal the only method of payment? I had problems with my PayPal account and had to close it. I know from reading the forum questions other people are not able to have PayPal accounts where they live. Why is there no other option for people who can't use PayPal?

It is just easier for HubPages, I guess. Considering they have people all over the world writing on the platform. Where I am at, I can receive money through PayPal but it needs to be withdrawn to my bank within 24 hours. I cannot keep any money in my PayPal account.

There is no other option because having one payment platform for everyone is the most cost-effective method for HubPages.

It's simply not worth their while to offer another method of payment for the relatively small number of people who can't get a Paypal account.

Probably because Paypal is convenient & is basically an online bank that is very successful. I really like paypal because I use to it to buy/sell on ebay and get paid on sites like these. And I also have the mastercard so I can go to a place like walmart and use my paypal, albeit, not directly.

Yes, on hubpages site were writers all over the world, from different countries. Some countries were ban or not allow to operate a PayPal account. That is an issue. An option like wireing can be fine.

That is an issue for those writers.  It is not an issue for HubPages.  They can get plenty of writers from other countries, so they do not need people from those countries where Paypal isn't available.

PayPal as a payment platform then is not universal, although hubpages is comfortable with it, and not all its writters?

HubPages pays all its writers through PayPal.  If you cannot use Paypal, then you cannot write on HubPages.  HubPages has no problem with that.

You seems to think that I had not a Paypal account. You're wrong, really wrong.                                            Years ago, I log online unto Paypal site and open an account with my gmail. That account is still relevant.                                          Heck, all writers on HubPages were not here for the money. Also, all writers are welcome on hubpages.                                           Besides, hubpages is not restrict to countries that leverage paypal.                                  Some writers are ignorant of this issue. Agreed that the discussion is payment via, PayPal. But as you said hp leverage on il paying its writers. How does that place a restriction on a writer not to writer on hubpages?

When people say 'you' in a general context, they don't mean you, personally. It just means 'a person', or 'one'.

Hi Bev, no matter how one, or you, or a person said it. I was directly or indirectly include in a general sense. Thanks.

No you were not. As Bev explained, I was using the second person in a generic context, meaning "a person" or "one".

That is a fundamental structure often used in the English language so I suggest you study it.

To answer your question:  yes, HubPages accepts all writers, provided they can write fluent English.   But they do not pay all writers.  They will pay only writers who can access Paypal.  That has been the rule for many years.

I can agree with YOU only on the last paragraphe. Here you(in this comment) is specific and mean Marisawrites.                                            More so, the English Language is ever a study. In a read or a post, (a mail) like this, a person can infer a reference to himself/herself. That is what I did.                                                Yes, agreed that hubpages is paying its writers via, paypal for years, that is not for me to dispute.                               Before the marven-hubpages marriage, I used my AdSense account to configure payment in my favor. Now it is Paypal.                   We should pity our friend(s) or fellow writers who can but were not able to open  PayPal. We should have empathy for them. This why I follow the discussion.
