    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article? What can I do to improve? Thanks!

      Hi there,

I can't see anything wrong with this at all, so I have no idea why it hasn't passed QAP.

Try making some minor edits, such as breaking the larger paragraphs into shorter ones. Don't forget most people will be reading on their phones and big blocks of text are off-putting.

Thank you very much for your reply. If it still isn't published after editing, who could I contact to get a clearer idea of what the problem is? Thanks again.

Hello there, it's an interesting read and explains why I don't watch scary movies. (Along with a dislike of being scared.)

I would suggest shortening the longer sentences. Have you tried reading the article aloud? It's a little awkward in parts. eg "Once you have watched one horror movie, and you have experienced the jump scares and learned the telltale signs that one is about to happen, such as the ever-increasingly ominous music, or the absolute dead silence as the character moves at a slow glacial pace towards something only they have heard. Then you have basically witnessed the majority of all jump scares in every horror movie."

Incidentally, I wasn't aware of the term "jump scare," It may be worth a short explanation early in the article.

You'll be published soon no doubt.

I think you've written a good article. I do see some minor problems, though.

There’s a space before the last sentence in the capsule under the first photo that looks a bit odd. Perhaps you intended to write a new paragraph. There seems to be an extra space in the Monster/Ghost Story section.

In the Jump Scares section, the second sentence (the one that innerspin quotes)  is long but appears to be incomplete.

I also noticed the repeated use of the word “character” in the “There’s Just Not Enough Time” section. I think it would be good if you could reduce the use of the word.

I think you have recently joined hubpages. It means you have to be very particular in your article even with minor punctuations. Hubpages are really tough to get your first hub being featured. I think you need to shorten your headings and try to write only single lined headings. Kind of you written in a simple essay like Introduction, why movies are not scary, conclusion? Etc, try this and yes please write in the simplest of sentences. Don't write long sentences. Goodluck with your first hub!
