I'm new to HubPages and I'm not sure what headlines I would insert into the text capsules. Help.

      Hi there,

You would use sub-titles that reflect the content of the capsule. Don't use generic or 'clever' headings. It's an opportunity to grab the attention of page skimmers and also to improve the SEO of the piece.

      Hope that helps.

I have one maine title and then I have some topics listed within my article. When do you use sub-titles?

It's difficult to answer your question because we don't know what kinds of articles you write because you haven't published any.  Can you give us an idea of the topics that you will be writing about?

In my case, I write about gardening.  I title my capsules to make it easy for readers to find the information that they are looking for such as "How to Grow X Plant," "How to Prune X Plant," "How to Divide X Plant," "How to Harvest X Plant."

You mean your Article Title goes inside a title capsule?  My Article is called "Top 5 Reasons Seller Fail in Amazon FBA Business."

The capsules each have a space for a title.

Your article is perfect for titled capsules.  Each reason can be a title for a capsule.

I see, so I can list each Top 5 mistakes with their own Title capsule? Do I then create Text Capsules for each of those 5 section under the title capsule?

The Learning Center has a ton of information.  Here's the article on creating an article:  https://hubpageshelp.com/content/Learni … ng-hubtool

You can use some of the interrogative words (who, where, when, what, why) as part of the titles so that the title is in a question format and something that a reader would typically search for. E.g. "Why are X and Y So Popular." Check out the "People Also Ask" at the top of a search result page to get some more ideas on a topic you're considering writing about.

Thanks for the tip. I'm making my article more like a 'listicle' where I am pointing 5 Top Mistakes and what to do abou them.

Joanna, I love writing listicles. Use a different capsule for each one of your mistakes. Start with an introduction in its own capsule at the top of your article. Then list 1. and identify the mistake in the first capsule, 2. in the second capsule, and so on until you list all five mistakes in their own capsules. Optional: Feel free to end your article with a capsule for your summary. I hope this hopes. My articles do very well with listicles done that way.

You can also use numbered and bulleted lists within text capsules. Google seems to like these and can extract the content and and use it in a featured snippet which appears at the top of search results.

This is a new concept for me using capsules to break my article into including bulleted lists. I'm gonna see how I make this work out. The tutorial a bit complicated. Thanks!
