Hey all, I've joined this great community days ago. I'm so glad to publish my first article here and to be featured. Would you give me tips about how to increase my traffic and feedback about my writing style?
Here is it: https://discover.hubpages.com/relations … Clementine
A few things:
- Your article has a ton of white space that you should remove (extra space between paragraphs).
- Movie titles should be capitalized properly and in italics, not quotes.
- We recommend removing the stock image at the end that doesn't have much to do with the cotent. Instead, opt for a movie trailer.
- It is a best-practice that H2s should be in APA (https://capitalizemytitle.com/).
- Edit: Also, you should title your article to better reflect that you are analyzing a film.
Hope that helps!
Thanks ❤️❤️ I tried to remove the spaces between paragraphs but I couldn't.
It's simple when you know how
Click the Edit pencil next to the title on your account page: https://hubpages.com/my/hubs/stats
Go to the first text capsule and click on Edit. Place your cursor at the very end of the last character (usually a period/full stop). Press the delete button on your keyboard until the space closes up.
Those blank spaces are caused by too many carriage returns (pressing Enter).
Let us know if you need more help.
I did it. I thought she meant spaces between the capsules, not between paragraphs of the text.
What are H2s? Subheadings? Thanks in advance.
Hi Noha, welcome
It's a good start, I'd say. As it's featured, you don't need help with it. With any luck it will get 'promoted' to the Reelrundown network site. It's a good idea to read the articles there so you know what the editors like: https://reelrundown.com/
Meanwhile, if you haven't already, visit the Learning Center for more tips: https://hubpageshelp.com/ Be sure to check the three subheadings across the top: Making Money, Publishing Standards, & Content Creation.
Good luck.
Thank you ❤️❤️ I really appreciate your advice.
Welcome!! Noha Serag. theraggeddedge has already given you perfect comment.
It seems like the community has already given you the tips you need. Therefore, a new-ish hubber like myself has got nothing to add.
Anyways, it's a solid first hub imo.
Yes, I loved their feedback. Thank you ❤️❤️

Question: Because of how headings and subheadings are "read" by Google, is it better to use H3 formatting for all headings which are intended for the reader, but not Google? For instance, those intended to break up information, but not start a new section of thought.I have read varying...

Is 3,500 words for an article too many? According to an online calculator that is a fifteen minute read. All the information is needed and important. I don't see how it can be broken into two articles or else it would lose context.Thoughts?
