The site petradarsdotcom has taken Pethelpful in its entirety (comments, author bio, ect). I was not notified by HP that these articles were copied, so I'm not sure if they are still checking our articles or not as these articles were initally posted back in March/April of this year.

The very bottom of every article contains "This article is republished from (name of article) under a Creative Commons license. Read the original article here" with a link to the Pethelpful article. I am not very familiar with CC license, does this mean we cannot file DMCA's?

At HubPages, every writer has copyright to they articles whether it stays at Hubpages or lands at a niche site.                                                      It's hardly a common knowledge that our articles has ever come under a creative common liscence. By what procedure? And who has ever done that?                                             My question is: have you contact the editor hubpages.com for advice? I think you should do that because it seems a link to the original was made, and hubpages should be aware of that. Some one correct me if I'm wrong.

They are lying when they say that our articles are Creative Commons licensed.  We (HubPages authors) have exclusive copyrights to all of our articles on this platform.  You should file DMCA complaints immediately.

Thanks for confirming my initial thoughts. I agree that Shesabutterfly should file a DMCA complaint.

Thanks! That is what I was thinking, but when I was trying to Google what a CC covers it kept saying articles fell under a CC licenses. I didn't know if that meant we had to actually say they were for use by CC or not.

The copyright is always the priority. At Creative Commons site they say their license is only as good as the copyright. Until today I always thought Creative Commons was for images. I learned something new with this forum that it can be used with written content too. As OldRoses stated they lied because our articles do not have any Creative Commons license what so ever, thus the copyright takes priority IMHO. So file the DMCA.

If your content has been copied you can file a DMCA complaint. If the site that copied your content does not respond you can file a DMCA complaint with Google to have it removed from search results. Please visit the FAQ for more information.

In my opinion the copyright holder has to give permission to use one's article under a CC licence. I tried to find a contact for this pet radar site and found one, but when I click on it I get the 'Oops! That page can’t be found'. But at least they give a link to the original article.

I didn't notice it before, but the only place where you can see the © mark on your article is in the edit mode, nowhere else.

The whole PetHelpful site has been copied on that website so every HP writer who has articles in PetHelpful should need to file a DMCA complaint.

Oh Christ!? Okay, all authors on PetHelpFul are good to go in filing a DMCA complaint. I think inclusive of hubpages as the owner of the site? This later view is just my opinion.

I see the copywrite symbol on the bottom of all my articles. HP added a copywrite notice and I marked it for all of my articles and I'm seeing them on all the niche sites I checked. My article on Petradar actually shows my copywrite too.

None of the links on the website work. I checked whois and if I'm reading it right godaddy is the host site so I filed a DMCA with them, but I haven't heard anything back yet and my article is still up.

I have one article there, so I submitted a Google search DMCA https://support.google.com/legal/troubl … 4905?hl=en

If no one gets to see the website I don't care that it has copied content. Godaddy should take it down based on your report though.

Thanks! We've received your legal request.

Please verify the status of each URL you've submitted to us in your Removals Dashboard. Google will only email you about this notice if we need additional clarification. If we comply with your notice in full, you will not receive any further email from Google about it.

Apparently godaddy is only the registar, but they sent me a link to Cloudflare even though they are not the hosting company either.

I think I'll just go through Google as well. Seems like the easiest option at this point.
