This morning I suddenly see  a scene from a movie playing out on my ring camera, but it was real life. Happening right outside my door.

It was like the Men in black...all black vehicles like 8 of them...with men in tactical outfits surrounding the place with guns drawn, bullet proof vests...the works.
( and not the ordinary handguns)
I'm already in a panic when I hear a knock on my door.  I was quickly shown a photo he kept close to his chest while talking.
Wanting to know if I've seen this person or if the name of...meant anything.  I told them she rented the place they had surrounded.
The neighbors finally opened the door & they went inside, but they left with nothing.
Needless to say I've been a nervous wreck all day.
It said U.S. Marshall's Fugitive Task Force on their back, so this has got to be someone very bad.
    Now I'm worried.
Will this person show back up here again?

Maybe later today I will calm down, but these neighbors have got to go.
They were told to leave by landlord before June started, but they are still there.
If this does not get better...I'm gonna have to move.
But hey...at least I know they are watching the place.
    Or are they??
Maybe they took it off the radar this morning.
    I shared one pic.

Hoky crap, Brenda! I'd definitely considering moving if I were you. Very scary!

Yep!  It's been bad anyways, but this really tops it off.

If you don't see a patrol car pass by regularly, or an unmarked vehicle posted on the block with random individuals in it throughout the day, then I would say don't worry too much. They probably got a random tipoff from a friend/family member of the individual they were looking for that they were there recently, and they are just following up on the lead. Large teams are necessary if the person is considered to be armed/violent/flight risk, and usually isn't an accurate indicator of immediate danger to the neighborhood.

It is likely that you'll see this occur more than once if they have no other leads, or the individual is reported to have returned more than once. Most often the individual returns right after the initial raid (within a week) thinking they can snatch up some personals and move on. They're probably just stressing the family/friends a bit to try to smoke out the individual they are after.

If their landlord has already filed to remove them with the court, then I'm sure law enforcement will receive an order within the next month or two from a judge to carry out the eviction. Most landlords don't like to pay fees, though, so I'd find out whether or not they did file with a court for eviction, and if not I'd encourage them to do so if they are also your landlord.

I have had a love/hate relationship with this kind of stuff for years.

Brenda Arledgeposted 2 years agoin reply to this

They didn't file for eviction because they were trying to be nice.
They were going to let them move & keep their rent assistance.
If they evict them, they lose it.
But quite frankly I'm fed up.
There have been alot of problems.

As for the cars, I don't really know.  When I'm there I usually keep my blinds closed like fort knox...
        Not too happy.

It is both a boon and a bane that your landlord is so kind, but it sounds to me like you don't have much to worry about. If law enforcement expected serious problems they would have screamed at you to get back from your windows, evacuated you from the area, or stationed an officer with you who would have directed you in a more serious manner.

Things can always escalate unexpectedly, but I'd rest easy. These things happen sometimes, and even without just reason in some cases.

Brenda, I'm so sorry for the worries, tension, stress, and nightmare the action show, may cause you, and the nighbours.                                    It's part of real life realities. But surprising.                                         Actually, the problem...we're most of the time occupy and confined in our small comfort zone. Now and then, we got a nodge, like a mother eagle stiring her nest.                                   I advice you keep calm and relax. It'll be over. Goodmorning.

            Miebakagh,
            I didn't mean the U.S. Marshall's.
I am thankful they exist & our doing their jobs.
            It is a bit scary.

It's my neigbors that I'm fed up with.
I'm sure they know where this person is hiding which probably is nearby.

Brenda, you make it much clearer to me now.                                                If I were that neighbor, I would not histate to inform the Police. Thank you.

      Serious business, Brenda. Stay alert!

I saw a scene on the London train yesterday, with three heavily armed policemen, a bit similar in attire. The driver had stopped the train with a technical excuse, but 10 minutes later, the guys in uniform came on. My carriage was full of whites except me and a black teenager in hoodie.

When they got to him, they stopped, asked him to lift up his clothes while they searched him and then went on. I looked at him. He was a well behaved boy and even after whites sitting said it was unfair that he was the only one searched, he still smiled and said nothing. His mom must have taught him well. Anyway, that's my story

I'm trying to keep my eyes observant & listening in case I need too.
Indeed his mother taught him well.

The building was surrounded completely but I only took a couple of pics.
I just don't understand why they don't have us neighbors leave...but I guess that would tip them off.
        Besides they are heavily armoured.
I'll trust in my higher power for this one.

Stay safe yourself.  We don't have trsins that people ride here.
        That sounded scary!

That will give you a sense of belonging.                                      Sorry, the scenario is very unluckly at this period.

I just got back from watching Fireworks.

It was a magical display in the sky.
I felt great for a few moments.

Wow, Brenda. Scary stuff. I have had police come to my door three times in a month looking for some wanted person. For some reason they had him residing at this address even though we have been here for over three years. They finally seem to have got the message he is not here.  Maybe they apprehended him.

Just found out there was a drug raid in my county.
Maybe this was part of it, but their vests said fugitive task force...so I'm not willing to say that was it.

Brenda, about 30 years ago I went on a 4-corners bike run with two other couples on Harleys. (I only made it to one corner 'cuz the guy I was this was a dick, so I took a bus home from upstate NY.)

Anyway, one of the couples also cut the trip short and asked if they could stay with me for a while. I said, "sure".

One day I came home from work and there was a strange car in my driveway, which pissed me off because I couldn't pull into my own drive. When I came in the house there was a woman I didn't know sitting on the couch with the female half of the couple. Turns out she was an FBI agent. Apparently, the couple had broken out of their respective prisons and were fugitives (which was the reason for their 4-corners run. Four corners meaning the four corners of the US). I was questioned and the lady FBI agent could tell by my face and body language that I had no idea they were fugitives. The woman I let stay with me was apprehended and taken off. I don't remember where the husband was - probably took off while I was at work. I came so close to being charged with aiding and abetting a fugitive on that day. Thank God I really didn't know they were fugitives! I have an expressive face and never would have been able to lie to the FBI lady.

Now that I think about it, when we hit the Canada border, the guy had me and his girl switch places from the bikes on which we were passengers. I thought it odd at the time, but now I know why.

I'm soooooooo glad they didn't confide in the rest of us on our trip or I might be in prison right now!

            Thank God!

I can just imagine the look on your face.

We never know about people, but like you...back in the day I probably wouldn't have thought twice.

It is a bit nerve wracking.
If only these neighbors would pack up & leave.
There is traffic in and out until the wee hours on most days.
You never really know who is staying there on any given night.
But this is day 2 with a knock at more door.

At least they are determined to find this one person, but sad they don't stop all this other stuff.
      Different departments I guess.

Brenda -- Happened to me once, and I was simply happy that I was not a lookalike of a serial killer, because I really don't like those cases of a mistaken identity, when either cops or the mob may be after you.
In your case, I can imagine how you felt, my friend. But, whoever it is they are looking for, you are nowhere in that picture, and the criminal is not even registering that you exist, along with any of the neighbors. People like that have  a pretty well selective paranoia, so you don't even exist for him.
However, you very much exist for me and for the rest of your friends, and we don't want you to lose any sleep over the whole thing.
