Hi all! We’re excited to announce a new category on PetHelpful—Pet News! This category will be used by our new, dedicated PetHelpful news team here at HubPages to drive more traffic and engagement on social media. We hope you’ll check out the articles that have been posted so far!
Got the link here! https://pethelpful.com/pet-news/
I would love to see this on other niche sites too. It's a great way to drive traffic to the more evergreen content and beef up the niches.
That's grea news, Hubpages. But I'm not minding. Because I don't own a pet, or I've not wr6te a single article about pets. That's for Dr. Mark1960 and his like-minds to treat I though. I hope this great news brings him back?
When staff makes a post like this could you please make it a sticky so it remains at the top of the forum for a while. Otherwise, this important announcement will be pushed off the page within a day or so and many people will never see it. And it should be in "Official Announcements" not "Community News".
I hope this works out. The only question I have is why we writers aren't able to write these pieces. The person who wrote the articles for PetHelpful appears to be an editor here. Don't the editors already have a ton of work to do?
An interesting development! I hope it works out!
It's certainly a difficulty for HP that the emphasis is traditionally on evergreen, rather than news-orientated material. Evergreen is great for chasing search engine traffic, but often less suitable for social media sharing.
Will shared news articles increase views for the evergreen stuff and improve the site's traffic generally? I guess we're going to find out!
I assume that if it works for PetHelpful, it will then be used on other niches, too?
Is HubPages wanting writers to produce some more newsy material, or are we still supposed to focus on the evergreen, which has always been the advice previously?
I would be happy to contribute 1 article a week or month on canine health studies for topics people search for info on.
Feel free to private message me. lol
Great, I can steal your idea. I can write a throughly and well research treat on specifics of the pet life say eye, to PetHelpFull not to Pet News. But would such stuff from not a pet owner be helpful to those who own pets? Some times? Maybe? Don't know? So I got to reading a new write today on Olwcation prankly called 'your anus'. Well, I'm on course.
LOL : lots of health studies are done by researchers with no eye towards SEO or readability for laymen. What is on the Pet MD type of sites is often just copied, word for word, from one article to the next. Often it is out of date info that was posted 5-10 years ago. The NIH is doing studies all of the time, that no one seems to know anything about. Not vets, breeders or veterinarian sites.
LOL? That has not jolt me. Your post looks serious to me. Thank you.

So most of my current articles are doing okay but one article has fallen dramatically over the past year and I'm not sure how to fix it.I've tried tweaking the title, the summary, adding more to the article but it has only lost more traffic.Any helpful hints on what I can do or is it just out of my...

I posted some articles here about three years ago and came back to write a few more.I noticed that my previous three articles have almost no traffic (about 600 hits). As far as I can tell, I've written them and my current ones correctly with interesting topics, good grammar, links, photos, polls,...
