Carb Diva, thanks for sharing the link. otherwise, we yould not read Ann Carr good write.                                             And Ann, what an interesting read you wrote. I recalled vividly your description of the photographer's actions as a kid. It's now rare and uncomon.

Ann, this was a very enjoyable and informative article, along with lovely photos. When My kids were still at home I took camera everywhere and took family photos all the time. Now we can take photos on our phones it is more convenient but I take less, unless we go to visit…but that hasn’t been often enough since COVID.
    Thank you for sharing, Linda.

I really enjoyed reading this, thanks for sharing it. I totally agree with the comment about it making you more observant of the life around you. I totally agree. I only use my cell phone for photos but I always stop and take a photo of that, bird, or bush, tree or just people. I do wish people in the past had put their name and date on them. I always try to do that these days, as it is so difficult to figure out who was who etc.

    Hi Ann,

You perfectly describe the many reasons that amateur photographers always like to have a camera at the ready to capture those special moments.  You are so fortunate to have all of those family photos.  You do have a good eye for photography!
Thanks Linda for sharing her work with us.

We're commenting indirectly. That's why  Ann Carr has not chip in to add weigh. That's also the very reason the comment button should be restore in a modify state, if not in its originalty. Thank

Thank you to Linda for posting this!  You're very kind.
Thank you to everyone who has posted such kind comments about my article on the power of the photograph.  I'm really sorry that I haven't replied to you all individually, but I can't get my head round looking through the forums - it's a new concept for me, I'm not tech savvy!
Miebakagh - you've hit the nail on the head, so thanks for being perceptive enough to realise and, yes, a very good reason for comments to be restored properly.
John - I appreciate you directing me once more to the forum. As I say, I just tend to forget about using this pathway.
Peggy - You take spectacular photos and I'm grateful for your comments, as always.
Nell - It's good to see you!  It is a good idea to name and date photos, which I do in my own storage but sometimes if a photo is moved, it loses its caption.  That's a good reminder for informing future generations - thanks!
So, I will try to go to the forums more often and also remember to post for others.
    Thanks again to everyone!
