Excellent article! I didn't know who Tasha Tudor before reading this very well-written, interesting article.

Linda, your recipes look delicious. My mom gave me a recipe for Hummingbird cake years ago, but I've yet to make it.

I love that you add boiled eggs and radishes to your potato salad. I do the same. I also add radishes to egg salad. Gives it a nice zing.

Peggy, thanks for sharing. Linda, thanks for enlightening (and making me hungry)!

Great article by Linda, in which she has skilfully combined the interesting history of an admirable woman, with well presented recipes. Loved reading it, and the house in the picture gives a nostalgic feeling. Excellent write up Linda.
Thank you for sharing this Peggy!

Nobody does food articles as well as my friend Linda.  Her insistence to add a little history along the way is what separates her from the rest of the food pack.  Another excellent article.

Linda, I absolutely loved reading your hub about Tasha Tudor. All of the recipes looks so yummy. Especially the Dark Chocolate Salted Brownies and Tasha's Hummingbird Cake. Mouthwatering!!
I enjoyed learning about Stillwater religion that Tasha and her friends invented.
The way you described her life reminds me of my great grandmother, she used to tell us about how she cared for her goats, hens, and cows. She also used to make butter at home and then turn it into Ghee/Desi Ghee (pure melted butter for cooking foods). She also used to manually crush spices with her hands and so much more. When I imagine such a lifestyle, I think it to be extremely difficult; I believe that technology has made us lazy beings, but I admire their way of life. I believe there were fewer diseases at that time because of their healthy lifestyles. We now use machines for everything, but in the old times even doing smaller tasks required a lot of exercise.

Tasha lived a beautiful life. Thanks for sharing this interesting article.

Thank you, Peggy, for sharing Linda's article.

    Take care and stay happy.
Many Blessings and Love to both of you!!

I read this article earlier and I'm so grateful to Linda for writing about her. Having been separated from her parents so so early, she embraced the life she was given and made it rich with productivity. Thanks, Linda, for writing about her.
