I know I brought this up before, but I've received two emails from GA recently regarding the UA version no longer processing new date as of July 1, 2023. This banner appears at the top of my GA page: Notification
Universal Analytics will no longer process new data in standard properties beginning July 1, 2023. Prepare now by setting up and switching over to a Google Analytics 4 property.
What do we need to do as far as HP is concerned?
You don't need to make any changes until HubPages switches to the G4 Analytics code. We will announce this when it happens.
Thanks, Matt. Will you give us instructions at that time as well?
Please see this: https://hubpages.com/forum/post/4240238
Matt said that HP is aware and that they will implement the Google Analytics changes. There is still over a year to comply.
Don't worry!
Sending Blessings and Love to you, Shauna
Misbah, it's been over 11 years since I tied GA to my HP account, but if I recall, I had to set it up then put the code in my HP account. HP didn't do it for me.
It seems to me, we need to update the link in HP so GA recognizes our articles.
Hopefully, Matt will come in and respond to my concern.
When I first set up my Google Analytics account about 14 months ago, I was confused as to which GA code I need to enter in my HP account. As far as I remember, HubPages currently does not accept any other code other than the Universal Analytics (UA) Code of Google Analytics. In my opinion, HP will only accept the GA4 code when the system is updated to accept it. Right now HP only accept UA code of Google analytics.
Well, I hope it is all under control. Not that it affects me because I find GA to almost be in another language or advanced maths to me. I can understand very little and seldom even bother to check it. I know it is important to others though.
I like it because it tells me where people are reading my articles from around the world, even though my own family isn't interested in reading anything I've written. Lol! It's quite encouraging, you know.
Ssshhh... Please don't tell anyone else. It's a secret...
It also tells you which articles are the most read. I think GA is a better gauge of traffic than the stats in our HP account. I don't know how to use all the features, either, but it's cool to see how many readers I have in real time and from where they're accessing my work.

I signed up for a Google Analytics account a few years ago, but I was never able to finish setting up the account with Hubpages because I could never find the Tracking ID.Today, I revisited my account in Google and still couldn't find the Tracking ID. Does somebody have any idea where in Google...

The tracking ID is no longer in the UA-123456-1 format but a GA4 format. See Google Analytics Support website article entitled ([UA→GA4] Data collection and tagging) that discuss this. I could have added a link but didn't want my account closed. Until HubPages changes the format, my account...

Can anyone explain the Google analytics update in layman's terms, such as in "Google Analytics Upgrade for Dummies"?

I went to sign up for analytics... using the account I already have with them... and I was referred to html code that they tell me I have to embed in my pages. No other code is sent to me. There is no code in my affiliate setting. Also... Adsense still has a sign up next to it. I...

Hi all,[part about adsense deleted, I now realise we don't use it anymore]I have been away for a while and adsense was deactivated, now active. I can't figure out how to set up Google analytics. I tried adding a new property in G Analytics and added hubpages.com as a new " web stream" but...
