She shows us that we can adapt to all kinds of circumstances.  Knowing her loss of dear Ron make her poems especially poignant. https://hubpages.com/literature/Poem-Adapting-Behavior

      Hello Brenda!
Beautiful response to the word prompt 'Adapt,' and very well expressed poems!
You are yourself in the process of adapting to the new situation, and doing it well!
Human beings have this special quality of adapting to the new circumstances, which life throws them in, and the good news is that they are able to do so, by their determination!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of writing!
Thank you Peggy, for sharing this in the forum!

I appreciate you sharing this one.

I'm definitely learning how to adapt to alot of new things.

Who ever knew I could teach myself to use a drill?

I imagine my writing will reflect thoughts of Ron for awhile.

I'll try to write others as well.

Brenda, these poems describe the true definition of adapt. The acrostic poem manages to say it all in so few words. The second one mentions You Tube for finding out how to do just about anything andI can vouch for that. I have used it often.
    Thanks for sharing, Peggy.

      Thanks John...
YouTube has been a life saver for me.

I taught myself how to change a drill bit...how to use our zero turn.
The list goes on & on.

I'm glad my work shows the meaning of adapt.

      John...
I think I would be lost without YouTube.

I never thought I'd ever have to learn and do the things I am doing.

It just goes to show us...we need to be prepared.

Kind of like ....if you're right handed...learn to use your left hand too.

We never know what the cards will deal...but in my case, I pretty much knew & still didn't think it all through until it met me head on.

I enjoyed reading your poems about the prompt adapt. I think you described this word very well in your beautifully written poems. I like the poems, the song and the quotes you included. I agree that we can learn a lot by watching YouTube videos.

Watching YouTube definitely helps one learn.  Often better than a piece of paper.
      Adapting is easier this way.

      Ravi...
I'm truly learning the meaning of adapt.
Plumbling issues...after not being able to shower or flush my toilet for over a week...i now can flush away just No Toilet paper.
Until it totally gets fixed...that's gonna be awhile...but Adapting I am.

      Yeah!  It's all good

What a lovely and moving response to the word prompt, 'Adapt.' Bredz, I enjoyed reading your wonderful poems.

    "Pushing yourself to the limit
    learning a new way
    until you find smooth sailing
day after day." -- No matter how difficult things are right now, adjust to the situation and remember that no time, good or bad, lasts forever. Stay strong. I know you're my brave friend. God bless you always!

I'm sending you warm hugs. Smile! smile
