What a lovely and uplifting article! Thank you for sharing your experience, Vicki. I truly loved this thought of yours:

HubPages is a testament to how bad we need each other and how well a system can work when we realize that we do. We should not have to be competitive or critical to share our hopes, dreams, successes, or failures with each another.

More power to you! Stay happy and keep inspiring. smile

Thanks a lot for sharing, John.
Blessings to both of you! smile

    Vicki ..
I absolutely love your Zen Garden.
What a great place to sit and write.

Your words ring so true.   Hubpages helps to give confidence with our writing.

I remember when I first started...the welcome I received made all the difference.

It's not a get rich scheme, but it has riches far more valuable in the community of people you meet along the way.

I count these Hubbers as my friends and they may never truly know how much they help me each and every day...in my writing, as well as in my life.

    Great article.

Vicki, you’ve articulated so well my experience here in HP. Although my family and friends had been very supportive, it’s different to be recognized by other fellow writers and editors. Until last year, I had been shy to call myself a writer. The HP community has encouraged me that I now find joy in writing. Thank you, Jodah, for posting this.

This article is beautiful in form and sentiments. "So whatever you write, and how ever you write it, there is something to share and someone to love the fact that you were brave enough to share it." I love it. Thanks for sharing.

John, thank you so much for sharing this article.
Vicki, this is an amazing, heartfelt, beautifully written article. As a hubber who's been here for 10 years, I can relate to a lot of your journey on our beloved HubPages. The community has truly been the best, followed by the opportunity to hone our writing skills and learn about online writing. I love the Zen Garden analogy. You've done some beautiful work there. Thank you for putting into words what many of us feel about HubPages, despite the ups and downs over the years. It was, and is, still worth it. Blessings to you.

Loved this article, Vicki. There's so much focus on using writing to make money online now that people forget the joy of doing it for its own sake and sharing ideas with people. So this was a refreshing take.
