Samsung keyboard bugging out when trying to write tables

Whenever I tap on a table cell from my phone, the keyboard jumps up ready to write for a split second, then the keyboard immediately goes down and the cell is also deselected at the same time.
Is there a way to fix this?

Have you tried using different Internet browsers on your phone? I’ve tried writing on HubPages on two different phones and have found that the choice of browser is critical for success.

I’m typing this in a particular browser on my iPhone and have found that so far it does everything that I need it to do. On the other hand, that browser wasn’t completely successful on my previous phone with a different operating system.

      Good luck, whatever you do.

        Thank you.
I'm using chrome, what browser have you found to be best for Hubpages UI?

The combination of Edge and my iPhone works well. I hadn’t tried creating a table with it before I read your post. I have an article open for editing and tried adding a table to it. In my quick trial, it seemed to work well.

When it deselects, tap the caption box at the bottom of the table, then move to the cell and you should be able to select the cell and type in.

Is it not possible for you to use a notebook/desktop computer for editing? It must be a nightmare doing it on a mobile device.

It’s not a nightmare once you find a system that works. As the saying goes, “Needs must.”

I used to like it when the Medium app allowed writers to work on articles on their phones. If I got stuck waiting around, I could write or edit a Medium article, which seemed like a constructive use of my time.

I still write on my phone sometimes but only when it's the sole option. I generally write in the notepad app and then copy and paste the material later.

I agree with Eugene, though, that if you're writing a lot, getting a notebook/desktop has to be a priority. The typing and visuals of a phone are just so limited.
