A fellow writer posted a query as to why their article wasn't getting approved by QA. I checked the article and discovered it's plagiarized. But the article is on Discover!! I am concerned about this because it influences HP ratings in SERP. By having such a low standard on Discover, we are in trouble, folks. What happened to HP's plagiarized checks?

If you report it for plagiarism, it shouldn't be on Discover for very long...

In the past, I've reported several really bad offerings - blatant spam, written in a foreign language, etc - on Discover but they weren't removed.

Rupert and Freddy, I looked for the link to report the plagiarized article but couldn't find it. If HP staff don't do anything about bad articles, then why bother reporting them?

The link to that article renders a 404 error message, Kenna. Looks like HP has removed it.

Shauna, I just checked, and it's still up. I don't understand how a plagiarized article can move over to Discover.

Report the article. If it's duplicate content, we will remove it.

I thought you were referring to the article from another forum that was pointed out as plagiarism. When I clicked on the link I got the 404 message.

We do plenty about bad articles. We will unpublish content if the report is accurate.

Thank you, Matt. How come the system can't catch them instead?

Our system does detect duplicate content quickly. You should send an email to team@hubpages.com with the example you are talking about and I will take a look.

What method are we meant to use to report them?

Visit their HubPages profile page and click the report button in the top right corner or email a link to team@hubpages.com.

What you have to do is copy the article URL on Discover, then go to the writer's page and click on the "report" button in upper right. Then paste in the URL with a brief explanation of why you are reporting the article. And send.

For a plagiarism or duplicate content article(s)  to be on dot discover, is a mockery.

True. They need to be detected right away.

Yes, Kenna. But it seems that from what Matt said, Hubpages needs our help in the challenge.                                     Critically, if the old Canadan was ignored, we can't help it, can we?                                   Seriously, HubPages, need to update they plagiarism and AI content detecting devices regularly. Thanks.
