Hello experts. Do articles with recipes show up in Google search? Are writers who only write recipes successful on hubpages?

I don't have any recipe articles on Hubpages, so I can't answer that question. However, I looked at a couple of your articles and they are really short. You also haven't credited your pictures. I suggest you check out Hub Pages Help.

Okay, thanks. But actually I read somewhere that recipe articles shouldn't be unnecessary long because people want quick results.

Recipe writers absolutely do well on Hubpages. However, they typically write detailed long-form content.

I'd advise looking at the kind of articles that make it to Delishably to get a better idea of what sort of thing does well here. (And as Janis advised, get familiar with the Hubpages help section)

      Best of luck!

I read somewhere maybe on hubpages that recipe articles shouldn't be long. People want quick results and want to read recipes quickly. So I stopped writing long

Ah, well fair enough. I might be wrong about that.

In any case, the key to success in any subject here is to target the niche sites.

Hopefully some regular Delishably writers (I only have 1 article there) might chime in with their experience.

I have a few recipe articles on Delishably. The editors want to see the recipe near the top of the article after the introduction and have rearranged my capsules so that's the case. If you decide to add extra information about the recipe or its ingredients, you should follow this pattern. It's probably best if the introduction is short and as enticing as possible.

You could look at the homepage of Delishably and see what recipe articles are put there. This may give you a guide about what is expected.

I have published recipe articles on Delishably. They are picked up by Google. Some have held their own for many years. I agree with all that AliciaC said and would add that if the recipe is has a backstory, share it. It will make the article more interesting and inviting. For example, I talk about the influences of my mother and aunt on unique recipes from my culture. Those have been the most popular.

I am sorry for replying late but how did you publish? I mean, I think it's editors job to move articles to sites, isn't it?
