With 4k page views, when you have totally earned $0.36. It is total disappointment. Last year I joined Simily and I earned at least 30 to 35 dollars from there in few months. Hubpages is giving hard time,Lol
I'm earning more than in previous years at this time. The one change that I did make (which I know is not for everyone) was to create YouTube videos related to my article content.
I didn't just start, but I've created a lot of YouTube shorts to average about 7k views in 48 hours. I have a link to my HP profile in each video description. In my long-form videos, I put a HP plug at the end telling viewers to go to my profile link.
I'm getting about 15 subscribers a week so I hope this will positively affect my HP views more into the future.
My earnings right now are the lowest they have been since I returned to HubPages last spring. Would you mind explaining more about Simily and your experience there?
Simily seemed good in the start but a lot of things started happening like being off n earnings stuck. Now they have updated but I left that. They changed payment methods too. You can try there though
I am also facing a huge dip in earnings from past few months. Eventhough, all of my articles are on niche site, still so much decline in views and earnings. Bad time going.
Yes, sad to know dear. We don't have choices though
Simily is self publishing platform. Now they have changed their payment methods
really!! what is their payment method now? Does it allow Bangladesh?
You can go to their site n check. There are limited countries
Yes, this is generally not a good time for HubPages. I don't think I've ever seen views and earnings so low.
That said, you need to get most of your articles into the niches and not just Letterpile if you're going to earn.
There are also typos and grammatical errors in your About section and that creates a poor impression. It should be viewed as a kind of resume/CV.
"Hello I am a housewife and Writer. I am Masters in English literature, former teacher of Pakistan Embassy college. I like to write about personal experiences and social issues."
It's unclear to me how one gets a master's degree in English Lit. without a strong grasp of things like capitalization and sentence structure.
But please be kind. English is not my first language but we try hard to publish articles without errors and mistakes.
If you improve the quality of your articles you can better compete with other articles in search engines. Here are some general tips for creating great articles.

I created profile carelessly n never looked into that. But definitely I will edit and make it better. But I don't think profile effect on one's earnings. I publish article after making sure that they are without errors and that's why they are published and featured. Getting traffic from Google too but in vein
A lot of things have to come together if you want to earn dollars rather than cents. It's a mistake to think that you can ignore certain things or do them in a half-assed way.
Any success requires a good working knowledge of written English and a lot of learning and work. There aren't any shortcuts.
Even if you do everything right, you won't necessarily earn a lot in the current environment.
I usually don't comment...but I've been her 14 years and I have NEVER seen earnings this low. I'm pretty much fearing the worse - I went through this with Associated Content and eHow, but at least at eHow my 285 articles were purchased for $24K...those were the days. I'm hoping whatever is happening here at HP isn't about to be catastrophic...but, it's looking worse every time I log in.
HP's response is not to complain and write. I don't think that is working.
I think I'll try not complaining and not writing. The other of the four permutations of the two choices haven't worked.
I know this that complaining won't increase my earnings, Lol. I think new comers are not active here. I wanted to know their response.
Why can't we self-promote? There's so many ads, yet we can't even advertise ourselves.

I realized that the total CPM is around 15USD but only have 0.44USD in my earnings. Isn't fair and don't understand why! Explain please

Is it better to write for HubPages or Squidoo?Recently, I've heard a lot about Squidoo being possibly better than HubPages in many aspects. Which do you think is better to write for if you're looking for traffic and earnings?

More on the topic of the sinking ship that is Maven/Arena Group. Just for fun, I compared my last 7 days here vs. my last 7 days on Medium. On HP 4,633 views and earnings of $14.60. On Medium 1,700 views and $378.98 in earnings. On Medium comments and engagement are almost mandatory to succeed....

Well I hope not of course, but when I started writing on Hubpages years ago there were a lot of writers and a lot of encouragement. These days I know Matt pops in now and again but otherwise it's a bit of a closed door and CPM for the last few weeks at approximately $1.50 seems to be about half of...

Since I migrated here from Squidoo two months ago, I've seen a steady stream of threads in this forum, complaining about lost page views. There are a lot of theories about why it's happening, and how much it's happening, and what can be done to get into Google's good graces.Google is not my #1...
