Hi Hubbers,
Hello to all esteemed members. I recently published an article titled "Advantages and Disadvantages of Social Media," but it did not meet the standards set for Hubpage feature articles. Will you please give feedback on my article? What can I do to improve? Thanks!
Here is my article: Advantages and Disadvantages of Social Media
I just ran your first paragraph through a plagiarism checker and found that it is lifted from another article on the internet.
HubPages does not accept plagiarized writing. If you want to publish here, you must only submit original writing.
In the introduction alone, the phrase 'social media' appear 6 times. Near synanyms like social network, chat room, social community, would have beat and break monotony. That said, I don't read further because my interest waned. Thanks.
I think you need to add citations to claims like "Social media can cause depression and anxiety", you also reference specific studies without citing them. The language seems more like what would be in a research article than a more accessible article.
I checked your references. The last two have a redirect problem and didn’t go to the source that you mentioned. I tried two different browsers on my tablet and my phone, and the results were the same.
Yes, the last two links are not working. I will delete these links and try to add them again. Thanks to all for their valuable feedback. My article has been featured.
I want to transfer my article to Owlcation. Could you please provide me with some crucial suggestions?
Congrats on getting your article featured. Besides suggestions that others have made, I noticed you have a lot of white space in your article. I would clean that up. Also, while your photo references say Pexels, you really should include the person's name who is responsible for the image. Some of your paragraphs are really long. I would break them up more. I also suggest bulleted lists.

Do you have an external blog that you link to your hubs? Do you write articles for an online magazine? And is it recommended to specialise in one or two areas - and connect a blog to these hub topics?I receive bursts of traffic when I promote my hubs on social media but I am looking into other ways...

I used to do it, stopped doing it and now I just did it. But is there any value to sharing it before it even gets featured or not?
