   AdSense updated the tracking id format. Previously it provided the UAxxxxx now it has the G-xxxxxx. It's not accepting the newer format of Adsense.

      HubPages doesn't use Adsense anymore.
      
      Also, you cannot publish articles here in any language apart from English. Neither is it a blogging platform.

   HubPages is an English language site, I'm surprised that the non-English article you published made it onto Discover and wasn't detected.

         My assumption was that there would be software that detects non-English.
         
         Not that it matters at all, what's in Discover doesn't affect anything.
         
         The article wouldn't get past a human editor, though.
         
         Non-English is just a nonstarter for writers here. The Adsense thing seems lesser by comparison.

               It's not meaningless. The way everything's structured is well thought out, in my opinion. It was an effective way of dealing with the Panda changes and still works well, as far as I can see.
               
               Having three separate and distinct tiers, hp.com, Discover, and the niches was a great idea. The aim is to enable lots of writers to get published without the best material being compromised. ("Best" being defined in this case as the stuff that Google likes most).

                  I was also pleased when the tiers, especially, the niche sites, were introduced. It was a slick way for HP to get out from under all of the dreck tied to the HP url. However I still maintain that having an article on Discovery means very little in terms of traffic, money, or any other measure of "success" at HP.
