It was announced nearly a week ago that TAG has a new CEO, Sara Silverstein, with a fresh turnaround plan. I missed the announcement at the time.

How it will affect us, if at all, is anyone's guess. Previous appointments didn't appear to have made much difference on the ground here at HP.

TAG stock price hasn't recovered giving the impression that the markets are unimpressed.

I guess we can only hope...

INMO, the frequent turnover is alarming. I haven't been inspired to write/post on this platform for years. I just wish they'd get their shit together and quit bouncing around like crystals in a snow globe. Only the holder of a snow globe can see the picture, when they shake things up. We Hubbers have been trying to shake things up for many years now. But, we're not in control, obviously. Is anybody?

Thanks Paul. We tumble further down the rabbit hole. And who gives a monkey's?

This new CEO apparently wants to create a sustainable way ahead for the business. Go to it Sara Silverstein!

Looking at some of the graphs and stats on this website https://www.investing.com/pro/NYSEAM:AREN gives you an idea of just how risky it is for TAG. But its bizarre the idealistic way they give HP precedence over SI in their intro blurb - writers, explorers, knowledge seekers and conversation starters to connect in an interactive and informative online space - bizarre.

Summary of Arena Group Holdings Inc

The Arena Group Holdings, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, operates digital media platform in the United States and internationally. The company offers the Platform, a proprietary online publishing platform comprising publishing tools, video platforms, social distribution channels, newsletter technology, machine learning content recommendations, notifications, and other technology. The company also offers content from individual creators to the HubPages network of premium content channels, such as PetHelpful, dengarden and Fashionista for writers, explorers, knowledge seekers, and conversation starters to connect in an interactive and informative online space under the HubPages brand. In addition, it operates the media business for Sports Illustrated brand....

I'm wondering why the heck HP staff are so noninteractive with their writers when it comes to basic earning info and future prospects/plans? Don't they want us to feel that we're truly a part of the TAG family?

Is she related to Larry? In which case, as far as HP is concerned, she might decide to 'pull it!'

Ms. Silverstein is quoted as saying "The Arena Group is poised for exceptional growth in this evolving media landscape ... " yadda, yadda, yadda.

Does a single person on the planet believe the media releases that are shovelled out?

Welcome, Sarah Silverstein.                                           I hope she had a good time here.                                 HubPages, had had enough trouble with previous Chief Executives, under the ARENA mantle.                                           Does Sarah Silverstein, comes here with a magical rod from the rabbit hote? Cindi la la.

Leaving aside the marketing-speak, it is true that internet-related media and technologies keep evolving. That's why sites like HP need constant investment and upgrades.

For some years, the site has been kept ticking over, but there have been few major changes, never mind overhauls. This is against a background of relentless decline.

It's a stark contrast to the early years, when continuous revolution felt like the norm. Official announcements regarding changes and improvements used to occur once or twice/month; nowadays, it's more like once or twice/year.

I did hope that the Haven/TAG takeover might lead to more funds and energy being injected into HP but it certainly hasn't happened so far. If anything, TAG seems hampered by a huge debt burden and more interested in video than text.

Big debts aren't necessarily a problem at a corporate level, provided that the company is perceived as doing well. Unfortunately, this doesn't appear to be the case.

I hope that the latest turnaround plan is more successful than the previous ones. But one does inevitably become a little jaded.
