I have 28 page impressions but have no idea what that even means, I tried to find anything about it in the help and couldn't find anything definite about how adsense works, do I need to add codes to it or anything?

Go to "My Account" and click "Affiliate Settings".

Paste your affiliate IDs/codes in the boxes.

It is automatic. If anyone clicks on an ad that is being advertised on your hub, you will earn a % of that click. Make sure you have the correct key words for your hub as this is how google creates the relative link.

    I hope this helps,

When people click on the adsense ad's on your page you will earn money. Can be anything from 1 cent to over $1 depending on how much the advertiser has paid. Word of caution....DO NOT click your own ad's.

The impressions is just how many times your ad's have been displayed.

Ah so the impression is how often my hub comes up in a search then?

An impression is how many times it's been displayed on your hub.

It doesn't have to be a search. When anyone anywhere views your hub on a browser, Adsense registers it as an impression. Depending on the content of the page, you can expect maybe about one 'click' for every 100 impressions. You make money from the clicks. How much money depends on the ad. Some are over a dollar per click. Some far less.
