The last two months, I have noticed a slowdown in traffic, even when I write about current and popular things. (Labubu for example.)
Reddit fights me now when I try to share my links. A lot of my posts just don't make it. I think they have some sort of weird flagging system against HubPages.
LinkedIn is not even worth the effort.
Facebook is so-so, but the algorithm buries everything.
I have a few new readers with BlueSky, but traction is very low.
X is less useful than MySpace.
Instagram is worthless.
Search engines I know are where a bulk of my traffic comes from, but the last two months have been so slow.
Is there another site I should be sharing my links to?
Koriander, I wish I could share a solution, but in reality, most writers are leaving because HP is not a safe place to write and flourish.
I don't want to leave because I actually do enjoy the site. Why do people think it's dying? Did something happen? I have to admit I rarely check the forums.
Yes. It appears to be dying, and TAG, which owns HubPages, seems to be stealing content from the writers. It might not be safe to write on this platform, and you'll not flourish.
HubPages was sold to Maven.
The old, quite beautiful article layout was abandoned, and the new one is plastered with so many ads that traffic fell off a cliff.
Earnings dropped.
Along the same lines, readers who, quite rightly, use ad-blockers contribute nothing to earnings.
The comments section never returned despite so many empty promises.
Maven was subsumed by The Arena Group.
Staff lost their jobs. Editors left.
Earnings dropped.
Several network sites were 'hijacked' by TAG and writers were either locked out of their own work or had to request their articles be moved to the cesspit of Discover.
People found out that their work had been stolen from Discover and reworked and republished under the old network urls. Where their work had built up authority. And even worse, under other people's names.
Stats stopped working. A deliberate move probably.
Support is MIA.
Earnings have disappeared down the gurgler.
Have I missed anything?
It appears TAG is hiding behind a "third party" when confronted about possibly stealing content from HubPages' hardworking and talented writers.
It's not their responsibility, much like their Sports Illustrated debacle.
These skillful writers also know more about writing on the Internet than TAG does.
In other words, it's a tragedy. Over the years, HP writers offered countless solutions to prevent HP's demise. All of which was brushed aside and ignored.
This site is dying. Sharing links is a waste of time.
You might want to back up your articles.

So I'm noticing a slight trickle up, but it's coming from my pre-May articles. Everything I posted from mid-May through to today is still showing 0 on traffic, but the older articles at least are starting to make a comeback.
I'm still worried because the residual income is so tiny. Nobody got back to me when I emailed. Does anyone know what's causing this?
My page views have not changed. It's a dying platform.
Only on articles from before May of this year. It's tiny but it's there. Only my articles from mid-May are still coming up 0 now.

I am writing articles for this website since past 3 months. At present, I have 38 featured and published hubs. I have joined for Amazon and google Adsense program. Past two months I earned like very less amount, less than 1/2 dollar. If I continue writing and publishing at the rate of one article...

I was just curious for those of you who write for Medium and/or Substack, how your earnings compare to what you make on Hubpages. Do you think it's worthwhile writing for these sites? I look forward to everyone's insight. Thank you.

I was wondering if all of you think Hubpages is going to disappear? The traffic is not what it used to be and earnings are quite meager. For me the decline began in the middle of the pandemic...but improved a bit after time. Now it seems traffic has become worse daily and Hubpages has eliminated...

Hi fellow writers,Yesterday I recognized that the homepage of HubPages has a new design and in the mid of this I discovered a fellow writer with the most earnings here at HubPages. He's a member since 7 years, has published 55 articles which have been read over 1,000,000 times and he makes over $...

Hello dear friends, I just want to know the structure of earnings on HP here.Do earnings start after two years on HubPages? Is this guideline of HubPages true as I read. Is it necessary to join earnings program to see your earnings get started? As I don't have PayPal account I have yet not joined...

Just kidding!I'm seeing dozens of threads from people stressing about losing traffic. Asking if this is the end of Hubpages. Asking if it's pointless writing here anymore. Asking if there is even a point to writing online.I saw my traffic drop by more than 50% in 2011 - when the original Panda...
