A couple of days ago I went through my hubs and did some backlinking and then posted to my blogs and other sites.  I was tweaking them, etc...Well, my scores just went crazy...down, down they went.  I am kind of freaking out, waited a day and they still are slowly going down...advice, suggestions?

This shouldn't be happening and I am sure backlinks can't cause this. But, I have no idea why your scores are going down, maybe someone else knows.

Gosh, I hope so, my best hubs have dropped over 8 points, which does make sense and is stressing me out.  Thanks for commenting!

8 points is really nothing to worry about.  Maybe it's just that you haven't noticed before, but sometimes scores go up and down for no apparent reason.

It's not uncommon for Hubs to have scores that vary across a 10-15 point range.  I've got ones that do that regularly, and yet I'd still consider them to have good traffic and earnings.

Given that your overall HubScore is in the upper 90s, I don't think there's any reason to panic.  Now if that score suddenly took a dive, that to me would be a sign something's wrong.

Relache, very good point about my overall score still being in the 90s, that does make me feel better.  But is this normal or just a odd that it happened right after I did some tweaking?  Thanks for the response.

Hi Marisa, it wasn't just one hub but several of my top hubs are just going down...they always switch around but all of them are dropping...is that normal?

It's certainly happened to me - one day you pop in to have a look, and they've all dropped.  As Relache says, it can be 10-15 points and it can affect all of them.  It's not something you've done!

There's no relationship between the linking and the HubScore dropping.

Keep linking. It won't hurt and it can be good for SEO and/or traffic.

Thanks Marisa, I have to tell you that my overall score has dropped more than usual.  But I am going to take the advice and not stress over it. Thanks for you help, you really did help me.

Don't worry too much Lady. It's just the rising and falling traffic that's probably making a difference. Hopefully, should bounce back soon! smile

Hub scored fluctuate a huge amount.  They will rise again smile
