Well I went and did it. The thing I had always hoped I would never accidentally do- I was trying to click on my link in a hub - and accidentally moved and clicked the mouse right on an ad!! I clicked out right away.....AGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have done that a couple of times, Google just didnt verify payment is all , didnt count it, I would think if you did it consistanly then it would be a problem
The Black Helicopters should be hovering over your roof soon !
Oh I hope it will be ok Dorsi. I'm not really sure how it works with one click I am sure there will be some-one here soon to help out.
Don't worry about accidents. GOOGLE looks at continuous abuses of clicks. One instant where an accident happens and repeated offenses are obvious.
But, a singular click from your own action will not get your account suspended.
Just to let you know.
Yep, you're FINE, Dorsi.
It may have happened on Hubpages' share of the impressions, too, which wouldn't be so bad for you either.
(I'm pretty well sure the only way people get suspended off of Hubpages is either by pissin' off picture gallery posters or violating Adsense ToS, anyway. )
I've done that a couple of times, but nothing has come of it.
No worries, we've all done it. I have. Just don't do it again, that's all.
Just keep an eye out for any black vans with tinted windows pulling up outside your house.
If you see some scrawny nerds emerging swinging mice around thier heads and practicing with their keyboard nunchucks you know you are in trouble, how dare you accidentally click a google ad
AH thanks you guys. You all made me feel better, and laugh too. Now I can go to sleep...lol
I must admit to having clicked on one once. It looked so interesting that I could not resist, and had clicked on it before I remembered I was on my own hub page. OMG! Oops...

I just accidentally clicked on an ad in my own hub! Will Google Adsense ban me for one click?!I'm a little bit freaked out right now. I accidentally clicked on an adsense link in my own hub. Would Google ban me for that one mistake? Have other Hubbers done this by accident and their accounts been...

What would I do? I accidentally clicked one of the ads when I was editing something. I did not clicked in intentionally.

I have always added my Products via a keyword search but I have been asked to add a couple of products via links instead. I am not sure whether my being in the UK makes a difference but should I be adding links from Amazon.com or from Amazon UK? I know that most of my traffic still...

I accidentally clicked on one of the ads on a Hub of my own tonight--did that one other time, more than a year ago (I think), and that time I went through the whole rigamarole of notifying Google what a bad boy am I. Since then, though, I seem to recall seeing a "post or three"...

Something just occured to me, not only are we writers here but we are ALSO CONSUMERS. I see nothing wrong with clicking on a fellow hubbers google ad if it's something we are interested in. I am getting the feeling that some people are afraid to do this for fear of reprisal for being click happy...

Can it go against Google rules if they have deliberately done this thinking they are helping you? I am worried because I just had a comment posted saying "thumbs up and adsense."
