Anybody else have a sh*tty day?
I don't get into a lot of personal stuff here... suffice it to say, it was because of sh*tty thing #1, sh*tty thing #2, and sh*tty thing #3. (Also, sorry for the profanity, but the repeated sh*tty is making me feel better.)
Anyway... here's how I've decided to look at it. These 3 things could have happened on and ruined 3 different days. Even though today is a whopper, its sort of the "bandaid method" of sh*tiness. (One clean yank.) So, I'm looking forward to putting today behind me, and having better days ahead.
What do you guys do to get over a cr*ppy day?
All days are good-- but 'stuff' happens. I like that you realized it was better to have them all at once. Probably gave you some other insights.
C'mon we are waiting for the hub.
Tomorrow can't help but be better.
I'm no angel, so I can't say w/ total certainty, I haven't. But I always try to make up later!
Thanks guys! I'm doing much better, mostly, I was just venting, and trying to find some humor and a little light in the situation.
The husband isn't home tonight to share an adult conversation with, and I find I'm not such a great mom when I've got the negatives on my mind. So, I get it out, and then I can focus on what matters (my kiddos, who are currently extremely excited because I'm letting them drink melted ice cream out of cups.)
Rochelle - Thank you. You are right. Each day is a gift. I try to remember that. But every once in a while, I'm ready to let my head hit the pillow, and let one of those "gifts" fade away.
LaMama- A treat sounds just right.
K. Partin - Already got the cussing out of the way.
Tantrum - Agreed. I usually give myself a few minutes to be pissy (I've learned not to ignore the emotions... I tried that for awhile, and it got me into a bad place) and then move on.
Lynne - You rock. Hugs always help!
I write or play online games to relax. If my day is really bad, then I resort to playing my RPG computer game and take out my frustration that way.
I'm right there with ya thoughtful...it has been a sh##y day!
I feel the same way it kinda felt like a Monday. Oh well tomorrow is another day. Cheers.
Go to the Marijuana forum and take a puff or listen to Dark Side of the Moon
LisaHW - Always a good way to go.
Cags - Hmmmm. The only video game I play well is PacMan!
luv- I hope its gets better soon!
LJ - My work week starts on Wednesday, so it kinda IS Monday... maybe that's been the problem.
Anyway, my friends, I'm now sitting here, chatting w/ my HP buds, sipping a glass of red wine, and generally enjoying life.
May have been a crappy day, but the night is turning out just fine.
Thanks for the cheering up.
I write and have an occassional glass of Pinot' Grigio when I am having a rough day.
I have had a shi%%y week. I am in a funk as well. It is one of those my give a damn is broke funks. Which is usually followed by you can kiss my a$$ funks.
I don't usually stay this way for long.
Ahhhh yes. I've had a broken I-give-a-da&n on several occasions.
Hope the week gets much better... Happy You're-Over-The-Hump Day!
btw - Just said "hi" and "'bye" to ya' over on the Tribe thread. I seriously need to rest this little head.
Start singing a song by Paul Thorn!
"It's a great day to whup somebody's ass,
it's a bad day so you better stay off my back!
You might get coldcocked if you cross my path,
it's a good day to whup somebody's ass!
There's more but you get the drift!

I know there have been a lot of changes in the air in the past 10 or so days... There was another big Panda update... then the stinkin' Penguin and all. And, HP has been tinkering around with the design of pages. My traffic has remained relatively constant through it all. But, over...

I'm just coming back after a several year hiatus, and one of the most exciting things that started when I was here was the HubChallenge. Originally, it was 30 hubs in 30 days. Now I see it's changed to either updating your hubs or 30 hubs in 60 days. I tried the original once, and I failed...

The current mantra on HP is that personal experience is everything. Research is not worthy.Where did this come from?I recently published a page about Animals that Fly, it got a score in the nineties and went straight to Owlcation. Well done to me.But of the twenty or so species on that page how...

That will get me to nice even 200 hubs. I'll think about it. I'll be starting next week though, this week has been thoroughly exhausting and like a rollercoaster ride without any brakes to slow down on the bends. And then after that I might do aim at a stretch of 60 in 60 days. Which won't be back...
