Is there a 10k views accolade? I thought so. I have been patient, but now I have had a glass of wine, and the toys are coming out the pram. I want my pretty badge! I need that kind of self-congratulation. Noone in the real world understands this stuff - so I need HP to do all my back-patting.
Reaching for another glass to console myself And am I even spelling accolades right? Good job there isn't a spelling and grammar accolade - I'd be screwed
Cool! Nice on 10,000 views.
I'll pat you on the back and give you congratulations!
I am sure your 10,000 accolade will be along soon. When I broke 100,000 views, it was a day or two, before I saw the accolade appear.
Patience is virtue.
Christene - 10,000+ on 12 hubs - off to have a look at what you've been up to
Cagsil - shut up with your 100,000 views raining all over my parade! - Just kidding - I've learnt tons from you - in fact about 200 of those views are probably mine
Fresnavee - Its been 3 days already - I've gone over 11k today.
I'm only after a bit of self-congratulation. Every day I've logged on hoping to see a thread started by one of my many many admirers, saying 'Spacey's got 10,000 views', then all the other hubbers saying how amazing I am - me shallow? Vain? Not at all Just off to gaze in the mirror and give myself sultry looks
Cagsil - aren't you glad you taught me how to do smileys
- it really brought out my playful side.
Why oh why oh why can't there be a 'progress to award' stat page - it can't be that hard to code.
What do you mean? Like a bar that would be 3/4 filled in when you get to 7,500? That sort of thing.
It is pretty hard to keep motivatedin the early stages - so many times the only traffic I was getting was me updating the hubs
yep, thats what i mean. % to completion would be good
I'd get rid of the Questions section, as most of them are pointless like "how do i know if im alive" - i mean really, i might go on a sarcastic answering rampage. (oops too late i started)
Wahey - moan and it shall be yours - profile page has just been updated, and because I'm a stroppy 'mare I also got an extra black bubble thing. I can go run my bath now and pour another glass of wine
Can you now please post a thread saying "why has jondav not had 4 million pageviews today" please (seeing as you have 'the gift')
Excellent idea - I will do that thread right after I finish posting one entitled 'why has Amazon not sent Spacey her $20,000 check yet'
Just off out to put up a canopy - so I can catch all the money that's gonna fall from the sky tonight.
Ok you can take all the money from the Essex/London area, i'll take the southwest and split the rest?
Actually you can have 60% as you are the gifted one, i'll make the tea (or open the wine in your case)for 40%
Fair enough - I'll see what I can manage - right after I go worship my Google and Amazon shrines I have set up in my bedroom - have to be kind and dutiful to my affiliate masters.
What a whiner!
Here I am, waiting for my first 1000 yet. Should make it tonight, though. Maybe I'll get a bottle of wine - be a big night for me if I do make it!
Congrats, Spacey - it is indeed a good milestone to reach. I see you got your accolade, too.
Yeah, there is definitely an accolade for it. What I am wondering is what is the nest views accolade after that? Is it 50k? If so, that would be nice as I will hit that number soon. I need to actually finish and publish a lot of these half-completed hubs I have lying around, though.
MelBel I think its 100k then 1m after that - so I'd better make this celebration last a really long time.
Oli - you should be excited - I have mostly been following advice from you, Cagsil and Waynet, so thanks for the helo you've given me so far.
Click on HP's Help section, they have a nice lil graph of what accolades click over on each level achieved.
Can you tell me where to look? I click on the help link and I'm not seeing anything on Accolades.
I can Christene, on the Hubpages FAQ page under 'Hubtivity' in the Getting Started Section - here, http://hubpages.com/faq/#hubtivity
Accolades show up when they show up. I had 60 hubs before I saw the 50 hub icon.
Yup, 8 days before my 10th Hub badge decided to sparkle
I'm returning after a break of a few months (ok, quite a few!) nice to see the 10K accolade there. I guess it's time to start working on the 100K one?
Woo Hoo! Gracey got her 10,000 accolade and now I'm waiting for my 1000 one. I passed 1000 last night. Pumped!
Oh Cagsil - save me - I have been using Market Samurai all day and I am clearly doing something wrong.
Watched all the videos, they just type in 'dog training' and ten clicks later, by some miracle they've have found an untapped, low competition niche.
Well I've been doing it for hours but I am getting nowhere. I can't even seem to generate a decent list of keyword phrases to start off with - I am just soooooooo frustrated!
That's Ok Cagsil - I only wanna use you for chat and games tonight so you can rest your enormous brain.
How's the hub revamp going?
do you know that once they are all done then they'll be up to standard / able to keep the ads, or are you going blind? Must be a bit of a pain. Or will the revamp score you some more traffic?
That's great - so you know your efforts will be rewarded.
Hey is there a 200,000 accolades view? I have over 212k and nada! I want my gold star
It would be nice to have something between 100k and 1 mil. But then again if we aren't racing to 1 million after 100k maybe something is wrong.
That is why we have to do some serious social bookmarking.
Brie,
Its up higher on the posts, but I will put it here for the benefit of new posts.
See this section on the Hubpages FAQ page under 'Hubtivity' in the Getting Started Section - here, http://hubpages.com/faq/#hubtivity it shows all the accolades that can be earned on HubPages.
Cheers

I reached 1000 views a couple of days ago but yet to receive my accolade. I was wondering if the accolade for 1000 views has been discontinued.

Presently, the subject accolade is set up to reflect when a hubber reaches 1000, 10,000, 100,000, 1,000,000, 10,000,000 and 100,000,000 views. I believe that it should be revised to where it would reflect 1000, 10,000, 25,000, 50,000, 75,000, 100,000 views, with the all of other levels remaining...

Do you think, it would be very encouraging to get accolades after completing every 10,000 views?
by Monisajda 12 years ago
I was looking forward to seeing a new accolade on my profile as I reached one thousand views but it is not there. I waited a day hoping the HP needed some time to process it but nothing happened. Is it a glitch or what?

When someone posts a hub like "How to be succesful on Hubpages" I look at their total page views accolade to see if they really are succesful. If that person has hundreds of hubs but only 1000 page views accolade, well....If that hubber has an accolade for 100,000, he may have 900,000...
