What is the requirement for a hub to be classed as a hot hub?
I usually try to look at 5 or 6 of them every day but increasingly they seem to be the spammiest type of hub, some have 100's of comments (i suspect possibly auto generated.)
We have tweaked the Hot system several times, and look at it all the time. I'd like it to be a combination of things people are currently interested in, good quality, and recent discussions.
I have say that sometimes I look at the hot hubs and can't believe how silly, uninformative, or just boring they are.
Of course, some are great, but I'm not sure the system you guys have is balanced.

I used to have little trouble keeping everything featured but now defeaturing for traffic is happening a lot more. It makes me wonder if the bar has been lifted?

Some of the Hot Hubs are excellent, don't get me wrong. It just depresses me that 30 or so hubs about Indian, Pakistani, etc actresses in sexy poses rank way ahead of any of mine. Actually, I went about 20 pages into hot hubs and gave up. It was too disillusioning.

I just checked the Hub guidelines, and it looks like the minimum is now 1150 words? Or is this just a suggestion for a "perfect" Hub? I have a couple of How-to articles I wanted to post, but they are very visual, with step by step pictures with the instructions, and so there's not a whole...
