Another conversation I had with a friend, is if your going to war (World War 2 period) and only could pick a single assignment out of the three choices given, which would it be? Why?
A) You are stationed on a cramped submarine in freezing and deep Atlantic waters.
B) You are stationed on a long-range bomber as a tail-gunner in an area with a lot of air combat and anti-aircraft guns.
C) You are stationed on the front-lines in a trench with several enemy regiments and artillery across from you.
c) it would be easier to shot myself in the foot and then spend the rest of the war recovering in the arms of a busty nurse
A is out. I'm too tall to be a submariner. I looked into it when I was younger.
B is a possibility. I'd rather fly the plane, but that wasn't one of the choices.
C would be about equal to B, as far as danger of getting shot goes, but if the guy next to me got shot, my plane wouldn't crash.
I'd have to go with C.

Wow, all of those suck.
Ball Turret Gunning was a hated position, but so was sumbarine and front line trench warfare...
...I think I'd just move to canada.
I would rather be stationed at the hospital base, I could not imagine being stationed in the three other places if I was I would be a Private Benjamin! lololololo
WOW those really stink, I think I'd come out of the closet and take a bail out...
Omg I shudder at all three too. I would volunteer to be Greek's nurse and fly home with him holding his drip.
Having been in a submarine lurking in the freezing north sea for weeks on end - though a little after the war but in the last surviving wartime submarine! I would pick tail gunner as a more entertaining way to die. Boredom is the worst in the cold and wet - the trenches as cannon fodder never did appeal to me.

How do you justify your ignorant and uniformed reply ? You don't seem to know anything - let alone anything about me.

I don't know much about the US navy - I was in the Royal Navy - and for the record the sub was HMS Tiptoe a stretched A class boat. I was on an anti-submarine frigate before that, HMS Wakeful, and I also served on a few other subs after.
I should tell you that I resent your ignorant personal attacks.
china man...don't worry about it. You know he (if IT is a he) was just trying to get a response from you. Who cares?
Thanks for following me - but your (again) misinformed fan mail suggests that you are just another troll from the Sab Oh stable - As he chose to troll me and call me a liar etc from my first posts here as a newbie he gets what he deserves in return. He, and you can always stop trolling me and then I won't have to retaliate.
I have never called you a liar. Support that charge or retract it please.

My response was in clearly a reply to the OP - nothing in my post made you look small - you did that all by yourself. Also I was specific enough to answer the OP, why you should immediately attack me is unclear, maybe you have a troll's not so hidden agenda?
I clearly know what I am talking about, when I do not I make a point of stating that it is what I think. At that time HMS Tiptoe was the last surviving submarine in service from any nation as far as I am aware.
Nobody disrespected you, again you did that all by yourself.
The best way to stop a troll is to stop feeding it. If he trolls you in your comments, report him. That's what the report button is for.
B simply because I can multi-task and I have eyes behind my head.
C) You are stationed on the front-lines in a trench with several enemy regiments and artillery across from you.
I do not want to know where it came from when I take one and die for my country, and all those who hate everything about our country, but want people like me to die for them so they can b_tch more about our country and our President.
