I posted my first hubpost yesterday and it was unpublished this morning. The reason given was substandard post....I looked through all the rules and terms and I don't see anything in my post that would apply to any of these.
Is there somewhere that I can get a more specific answer so that I can fix it and re publish?
Thanks for your help~
hi victoria, It's difficult to say without reading it, but ask yourself was the hub original, was the content good, was any of it copied from else where. Was it too short, did it contain any information that shouldn't be published. As you can see there are many reasons for this action. Try again after reading some of the answers about what makes a good hub in the forum pages. Good luck to you.
You don't need to mail the admin team. You can get a list of what is considered "substandard" in the FAQ right away without having to wait for a reply.
Contact the HP team directly with any questions.
How long was it?
Nothing bugs me more than somebody taking up a great keyword URL with 100 words.
A hubpage should be 800-1200 words on average in my opinion. I have a few with 300-500 and a few with 1500-1800, but this isn't a blog... it is an article site.
If it isn't for that reason then disregard what I have said, but that often is the reason.
Your hub only contained a paragraph of text, an image, and a video. We like to see more text than that, unless you're doing a hub containing primarily images, in which case you need more photos, and to categorize the hub in the Entertainment > Photos & Videos > Photo Galleries.
Hope this clarifies.
Tips straight from the top. Hi Maddie! anyways, if you write about personal experience..maybe try to write it answering the 5 W's and one H. Keep in mind you are writing for a audience and will depend on what your goals are. Do you want to help? start a debate? etc. Hope that helps. Welcome to HubPages!

Can someone please help me? I've seen some really sub quality hubs out here. I write well and yet my hubs are being unpublished and continuously picked on for sub quality. I'm offended. You're making it not fun to be a hubber. http://vivbounty.hubpages.com/hub/firew … -plus-help

All of my hubs are offline.I were making good income from just 35 hubs, got 100 followers and many good comments. But all is wasted as moderators think that my hubs don't qualify standards of hubpages.I don't argue with moderators as they are doing their work.Still peoples like me who's hubs have...

I recall a thread where it was suggested HubPages use the word "non-compliant" instead of "substandard" in their email when a Hub is unpublished.I think that idea was adopted?I'd love to see the word "substandard" banished altogether from HubPages and replaced with the...

I'm new here at HUB and every one of my hubs has warnings and I've been told that I will be terminated soon because everything I post is substandard. I have read all the Terms. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong and since I'm "punished" and none of them can be viewed, I...

Hi,this Hub of mine:http://hubpages.com/hub/Haiku-poem-Coca-Colahas been flagged as substandard (or in danger of becoming one or whatever). The Hub is a poem with a video clip. That's all that that Hub is supposed to contain, nothing more and nothing elseand your engine thinks it's lacking content...

I have just found that a 3 day old hub has been moderated as substandard and I am having difficulty understanding what needs to be addressed.None (in my view) of the 'common reasons' for moderation seem to fit.I have read the FAQ and Maddies hub about the issue but none of this helps. Before I...
