I've lost 21 pounds in 4 weeks, so my doc is going to wait to put me on diabetes meds. She thinks I might be able to control my blood sugar with diet. All those low carb recipes I've been posting on HP are working!! Yay!! Of course, the exercising is helping, too. My BP was 110/70. I feel great!

That's awesome, Holle! I wish I could say the same - I've been doing the South Beach Diet for just over 3 weeks and I've lost a whole 3 pounds. I'm following the guidelines, don't know why the weight is not coming off as it "should" and I'm considering changing to Weight Watchers...
Are you following a specific diet or plan, or just eating low carb on your own??
Lily, this is what I eat:
low carb veggies
fish, crab, shrimp, scallops, lobster
Hood low carb chocolate milk
my low carb bread
my low carb desserts
low carb ice cream for an occasional treat
That's it! I'm also exercising 5 or 6 days a week, mostly in my pool.
