I have seen this a few times. How does someone after 1 week, get hundreds of followers with no hubs or profile?
shouldn't there be some requirements first before getting followers?BTW;there are a few like this following me
just wondering...
They just follow a bunch of people and a portion of those people follow them back. Don't worry, they are penalized for doing this.
they are spammer, HP finds them out all the time
I find it funny to see. However, I could only hazard to guess why anyone would follow someone else, especially if no profile is written and/or no hubs written.
oh that was a quick response Maddie!oh I just noticed I mistyped followers...oh well
thanks for clearing that up!
I don't understand why they do this. If they're spamming they will be penalized by HubPages so it does them no good.
Sometimes I'll follow a new hubber with no hubs because I like their bio. But I agree with you all, spamming followers is just bad form.
I had one or two followers before I had hubs or followed someone else. It just happens.

Why don't old hubbers encourage newbies by viewing their work and following them?I am newbie and I feel myself worthless here. Even when newbies are trying to publish some useful stuff why are not they motivated?

We need a better way to classify and group our followers and the people we are following, here is my suggestion at the very least. For Followers.A way to determine follower loyalty levels, perhaps a simple scoring system only to be seen by you that will tell you how many times a follower has commented...

Do people really read the hubs of people they follow? Is it just me but I tend not to follow too many hubbers because I would never have time to write if I read all the hubs they submit. Perhaps I’m being naive here … but it seems disrespectful to follow them and then not read their work. Do people...

I joined HubPages about a year ago, and I have published at least 50 featured hubs. I only have 4 followers. I would like to find out how to increase my followers. Thanks everyone.

How do some hubbers get so many followers in such a short space of time. Okay - some people write brilliant hubs on interesting topics but it still puzzles me. I expect someone will come back and say that I should have read something somewhere that makes it obvious - so apologies if...

Dear Hubbers. I've recently noticed so many changes on Hubpages. I had no internet for a week and upon my return things look so different. I like the cleaner white pages with the underline beneath the titles. The column width seems narrower, while now advertisements show up on both left and right...
