I am new and just finished my first Hub. I am sure it is riddles with problems so I figured I'd put myself out here.
Thanks in advance for any feedback
For a first hub it's an absolutely wonderful job.
You've done everything right in the areas most newbies stuff up:
-Enough text for top right advert.
-Not personal or blog post type content.
-Overdone topics (such as 'how to make money online' or 'buy a kindle').
All I can say is:
Sign up for amazon and put some pink cameras in amazon capsules so you earn commission if a visitor clicks.
Maybe move down the text about the origin of pink - It's good for word count and background but visitors will probably be interested in pink cameras NOT why they are pink. Another idea is to right align that text block and make it grey or blue, so it appears as an extra to the rest of the hub.
If you continue to write to this level and with this quality I am very sure you'll do well on hubpages.
I have reviewed your hub and have only one suggestion.
Your second text capsule, keep the first two paragraphs. Insert another text capsule and put the third and fourth paragraphs into it.
The ad that is after your second capsule is too far down your hub. By cutting your second capsule into two, the ad will move up toward the top of the hub. It will display after your second capsule, but because you have so much text in the second capsule, you have pushed it further down the hub.
I hope that helped. Otherwise, good job. And, do become an affiliate of Amazon and display some products..to earn commission.
thank WryLit and Ginger Meow - clever names you two!
@ WryLit - thank you for the very specific suggestions! I will take advantage of them.
Hi Simone. You dun good! It is nice to see you got good help.
I agree with all that has been suggested by these fine hubbers.
I appreciate all the help and support - so soon too!
thanks skyfire - great idea.

I give! I've searched the first 3 or 4 pages of "Getting Help" Forum and I've read the entire Link's Capsule section in the Learning Center (http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/using-hubtool). That Hub, by the way, has a large number of Quick Links in it. How do you create a list of topics...

What's the single most important piece of advice you would give to a new hubber? What do you know now that you wished you'd know/ or been told when you started? What's the single most important piece of advice you would give to a new hubber?

I'm trying to understand RSS feeds. I think the capsule is a reader that aggreates feeds from other websites, but I'm not sure

I understand the rationale for removing amazon capsules. I'm very careful not to include amazon capsules unless they are 100% relevant, and I can provide a personal opinion. I rarely do more than one per hub.HP is not only snipping amazon capsules on hubs for niche sites, but also just to have a...

I found a hub with a non-hubpages poll embedded in their hub. Is this allowed? How is this possible? Just enter the html and it goes in? Or is this a hubpages poll that I've just not come across before? It's the first poll in the hub -- located just underneath the two full-widthed YouTube...
